Does anyone else's brain ever do that thing where the depression creeps in bit by bit, and every day the world turns a little greyer and heavier and you don't really notice anything except for a vague feeling of "something's wrong, but I don't know what, probably just me being a needy loser again"? And then something comes along and sets your brain on fire, and suddenly you can breathe and you notice all the colours around you, and you remember what it's like to be alive instead of just trying to get through the day?
What I'm getting at is, for the past couple days I've been mainlining anything related to the new Good Omens show, and it's so. So. Good. Like, randomly-squeeing-to-myself, twenty-feelings-a-minute, ideas-bouncing-through-my-brain kind of good. Like, look-up-there-I-made-an-actual-Art-can-anyone-remember-the-last-time-that-happened-no-you-can't* kind of good. I'm just floating on a great sparkling cloud of Yay-my-brain-isn't-completely-broken, and it's all thanks to @neil-gaiman and this beautiful love letter to Sir Pterry and their book.
All of which is just one long heads-up for you to either block the "Good Omens" tag if it's not your thing or come and lose your mind with me, because that's pretty much all I'm going to be yelling about for the next few weeks :-D
* and even more amazingly, an Art that I actually like quite a bit. I mean, honestly, do they look like someone you can trust to save the world from the Apocalypse? No, they absolutely don't, so I think I captured them pretty well, no?
