etrurian replied to your post: Oh no… I was playing the prologue and Rody died...
they come back after the prologue :3
Well then, I restarted for nothing. Oh well. :B At least he won't be level 1 post-prologue now!
Sephiran/Zelgius for the why meme.
i think it was pretty much that in FE9 i really loved sephiran even though he had hardly any screentime
he was just super mysterious and ominous but he seemed like a good guy! and then FE10 happened and again, hardly any screentime for aaaaaaages while zelgius is making up for how he was barely there in FE9 and then you get like zelgius was the BK and that was genuinely surprising to me the first time i played it i was like wat how
and then you start getting their backstory and geez
they did that backstory really well; you have to work for it, and just carry on completely FE10 until you get all of it
but i think it's really that i just like how they came together, these two cripplingly lonely men who couldn't really share their secrets with hardly anyone and they latched onto the first person they could find who understood
and say what you will, but sephiran evoked some really genuine loyalty in zelgius - i mean, zelgius is supporting him in his scheme to destroy all sentient life left on tellius because sephiran says so
i think i went into it of the opinion that it was kind of one sided??? i mean, even now i still kind of think it's less mutual fated romance one true love puppies and roses - hell i don't even think it's based on as much genuine affection as ike and soren's canon relationship - but i think there's something there, even if it's just clinging to the only person you have who even comes close to understanding you
(i also think that if sephiran had explictly told zelgius to not kill greil, then zelgius would have obeyed him because sephiran was more important than old scores but i digress)
