Jackie Chan is anything but homophobic
So I’ve seen a lot of tweets discussing about Jackie Chan and his estranged relationship with his daughter, Etta Ng. There’s a tweet that has gone viral that talks about how Jackie Chan didn’t help his daughter whom is homeless because she’s a lesbian.
In April 2018, a video was posted on YouTube. In the video, Etta Ng and her girlfriend were they talk about how they were homeless and how Etta was kicked out due to her parents being homophobic. After the video was posted and went viral. People were hating on Jackie Chan and how he was homophobic because he didn’t want to help his estranged daughter without even looking through the details.
Etta Ng was born from an affair that Jackie Chan had with her mother, Elaine Ng. When Elaine Ng got pregnant, they decided to stop their affair. In 2015 interview, Etta explains she knows Jackie Chan bc he’s her biological father but overall he’s a stranger to her.
“Biologically he is my father, but he wasn’t my father when I was growing up. I don’t know him, and I won’t make any comment. If I see him on TV, he’s just a stranger and an actor”.
Nine day before Elaine’s due date, Jackie Chan even hold a press conference by saying he committed a fault that every single man in the world commits. Elaine has even said that Jackie never visited his daughter and doesn’t provide any financial support. So as you can see Jackie is basically a deadbeat dad. He tends to focus on the family that he has which is with his wife and son while ignoring his other family. Now let’s talk about the video. Like I said before Etta and her girlfriend are asking for money because Etta’s parents kicked her out because she was homosexual. The girlfriend in the video, her name is Andi Autumn. Andi Autumn is 30 year old woman who used to be Etta’s high school teacher. When this video came out which was in 2018, Etta was still 18. Since we’re in the day and age of acceptable age differences. Why doesn’t anyone speak out how a 30 year old woman can’t even support herself let alone a 18 year old whom she’s in a relationship with. Why doesn’t age difference are never talked about how when it’s a gay couple.
Instead of, Andi being the adult in the relationship by supporting both of them, they instead decided to make a video which is basically message to Jackie Chan and asking him for money because he’s a millionaire. I’ve seen people who say that Etta was actually mentioning her stepfather when discussing her parents being homophobic. But I couldn’t find any sources to prove that she has a stepfather. So my question is how can Jackie Chan be homophobic when he’s been absent towards his daughter life? Multiple sources that said that Jackie Chan approves his daughter’s sexuality by saying “as long as she happy”. There are multiple sources saying that the couple was using money for drugs but I’m not sure how accurate that is. Also why would anyone think that Jackie Chan give money to his daughter when he didn’t even bother bailing his son, Jaycee Chan out of jail.
Jackie Chan was born without privilege, him and his parents were both refugees from the Chinese civil war. Jackie Chan had work hard to were his is now. So, when He had his son and daughter, I don’t think was going to give his kids everything they want on a silver platter.Because we are aware of his relationship with his daughter. His relationship with his son however is described as “tough love”. Obviously, he was in Jaycee’s life more due his marriage with Jaycee’s mother. When Jaycee was arrested in China for drug offence and spent six months in prison. Jackie Chan didn’t intervene and even felt ashamed of his son’s drug abuse.
In an interview, Jackie Chan said that he isn’t leaving any of his millions to his son by saying “If he (Jaycee) is capable, he can make his own money. If he is not, then he will just be wasting my money.”

jackie chan is literally one of the most famous movie stars in the world. he has two kids: a son and a daughter. guess which one he’s proud of?
it’s so shameful that one of his kids is homeless. and what’s more surprising is that not a lot of people know about this.
