I’m lately obsessed with this huge beast, the Rachmaninoff etude-tableaux op.39 no. 5 in e flat minor. In this interpretation Lugansky play it with clarity in the voices and enough passion. Still searching for the perfect interpretation but this is very good i think. 

The etude-tableux were composed by Rachmaninoff in 1916-17 inspired in paintings (tableux). He never revealed which were the painitings which inspired each composition.

"The Sea and the Seagulls," an orchestration by Ottorino Respighi (1879-1936) of Rachmaninoff's Etude-Tableaux Op. 39 no. 2. This was composed well before today's film scores became an industry, but has such a wonderfully cinematic quality.
