          elijah is far too drunk to be able to think through the series of events, still doing his best to shake off the lingering anger in him. there’s no real reason to be mad now, especially now that he realizes the target of his anger had turned out to be the wrong person. but now the man in front of him ( jax, apparently ) is crumpled on the floor after elijah served him a punch he most definitely did not deserve. he reaches his hand out for jax to help him back up, mumbling a half-apology. “ sorry, ” he shrugs, “ thought you were someone else. ” @eujax​

       for the last twenty minutes, celeste could feel a palpable strangeness in the air. she wasn’t entirely sure what it was or what had sparked it, but ever since halloween, things had been off. it wasn’t unusual per se ( jax tended to exhibit interesting behaviour for one reason or another, and almost everyone they worked with was used to it ), but it did seem dialed up as of late. she pauses, eyeing him carefully before she resumes restocking the bookshelves. then, she feels his eyes on her, and a smile crosses her mouth. “ everything alright there, jax? ” @eujax​

                   she’s knocking on his door like she’s planning on making a career out of it. either she’s playing to an audience of one, or his headphones are incredibly high quality. best to add another element. “jax!” aisling flashes a grin at a passing student--- one who probably lives in this building, she thinks--- but she doesn’t let up. she’s on a mission. “jonathan! open up! it’s an emergency!”

“Hello!” For one reason or another, Ved opted to stay out of his workshop at the Hephaestus House and instead take a long walk around the neighborhood, finding himself drawn into Re-reads, a second-hand bookstore owned by someone who probably really enjoyed books. His mind scrambling to make sense of his need to be here, Ved approached the familiar-looking cashier and caught his attention. “Do you have books on mechanical engineering you can recommend? Or robotics? Gaming? Cool stuff?”

        there are no plans to go overboard, but celeste has had just a couple of drinks. she doesn’t want to get a terrible hangover, but it was a big festivity, and she also didn’t want to miss out. tucking a strand of red hair behind her ear, she looks to jax who is sitting next to her, joint pinched between his fingers. celeste blinks, but shrugs. “ i’ve never smoked before. ” she’s not innocent by any means – she’s ingested plenty trying to get rid of this pain, but not weed. “ what’s that like? ” @eujax​
