Being alive. Life is so freaking valuable and important and so much of this world takes it for granted.

Spring. Its the season I was born in. P A S T E L S. Cherry Blossom frappuccinos from Starbucks. Represents the good that follows life’s cold winters. I’m also a heaux for tree blossoms falling in the wind aesthetics. Cool enough to still wear sweaters. Cute bby animals.

ASTRO for The Star (2018 June issue)

You’re meeting <The Star> again after 6 months. Have you been well in that time? JinJin: It’s been a while. We’ve been busy preparing for several promotions. Cha Eunwoo: I missed everyone!

I heard that you’ll soon have your Japanese concert? Please briefly introduce the concert and points to watch out for. JinJin: It’s like a continuation of ASTRO’s solo concert <ASTROAD> which we performed for last year. Yoon Sanha: We’re preparing a variety of special stages which you haven’t seen before so please look forward to it a lot! Cha Eunwoo: I hope that we’ll all be able to enjoy the concert together.

It’s known that Cha Eunwoo will be challenging his first lead role in a drama through JTBC’s <My ID is Gangnam Beauty>. What are your thoughts and resolutions you’d like to convey? Cha Eunwoo: It’s an opportunity for me to show a different side of myself so I’m expectant! Please look kindly upon the role of Do Kyungsuk as played by Cha Eunwoo. Chairing (Cha Eunwoo + fighting)!

Rocky has celebrated his coming of age day in the time we haven’t seen each other. Cha Eunwoo mentioned that he hoped for you to become a cool adult like him, but is there a member that makes you think you should become a cool adult like him? Rocky: Um, choosing someone is similar to the question, "Who do you like more between your mum and dad?" Rather than becoming like someone, I want to become an adult who has his own air of coolness.

Judging from the filming set, the members seem really close to each other, what do you mainly do when you’re together? Rocky: We spend a lot of time with one another so we’d watch movies, eat, we do everything together. Moonbin: We live together so I think the sense of distance between us has really disappeared. Yoon Sanha: There are a lot of fun things that happen when I’m with the hyungs. Nothing comes to mind now that I’m suddenly talking about it but it’s just that whatever we do, it’s fun. JinJin: We talk of course. Once we have a topic to talk about, we can go on only about that one thing for more than an hour.

Then what do you each talk about the most recently? JinJin: We usually talk about things that have already happened. But all of it us joking around like, "You messed up the choreography the other time!" so (laughs). Moonbin: I thought that I actually talked a lot about the future though, stuff like, "What would we be doing 10 years later?"

ASTRO are full of enthusiasm but even amongst you, MJ is especially overflowing with enthusiasm. What do you most often do at times like that? MJ: I’d look out for which member is within my surroundings and then I’d approach the one in my line of sight and play pranks on him. Ah, I’m happy just thinking about it but Moonbin’s the one in front of me now (laughs).

'Puppy style guy’ Moonbin who you’d like to play pranks on. Are there any ipdeok* points of your own that you have yet to reveal? Moonbin: Um, just my eye smile and as the fans describe, "the corners of my lips which go up whenever I smile"? I’m a little embarrassed. To be honest, there are so many points besides these that I haven’t talked about (laughs).

What do you do whenever you have clashing opinions on even the trivial things or when you’re working on an album? Rocky: We usually settle it by majority’s vote. JinJin: But we have six members so there are a lot of times when we’re stuck on a 3:3 tie. Moonbin: Whenever that happens, we’d usually organise our own opinions then make a decision after meeting halfway. Yoon Sanha: I follow JinJin hyung’s opinions (laughs). Since he’s the leader!

Is the leader’s power strong? As the team leader, is there anything that JinJin hopes from the ASTRO members? JinJin: I hope that the six of us will be together like we are right now for 10, 20 years, for a long time. I think I’m a really happy leader just knowing that the members trust me.

I’ll toss a question at the maknae this time. Sanha who’s the maknae on top in this moment, is there any time where you rank no. 1? Yoon Sanha: I’m the 'maknae on top' when I’m gaming. I’m pretty good at it.

ASTRO’s 800th day since debut passed by not too long ago. Congratulations. Which moments do you treasure the most between yourselves? Moonbin: When I rewatch videos from when we were promoting. It hits me that we’ve walked the same path together and makes me strengthen my resolve. I think it’s rather moving. JinJin: I treasure the moment we would each take turns talking about our feelings near the end of a concert. Because I know that we all suffered for that moment. Rocky: When we’re returning to our dorms after wrapping up a concert. I’m reminded of when we would tell each other, "You’ve worked hard." Yoon Sanha: Standing on stage together with the hyungs. It may be hard in that moment but when I think about it later, I just like the times we’re together without any reason. Cha Eunwoo: When I’m standing together with members in front of our fans. MJ: Me too. I treasure most the moments where we’re sharing the same place together.

There are a lot of fans nervously waiting for ASTRO’s comeback. Around when will they be able to meet you? JinJin: We’re zealously attempting different things. Cha Eunwoo: As long as you’ve waited for us, we will show you a stage that doesn’t disappoint.

A humid summer, is there anything that you’d like to do with the members? Yoon Sanha: I really want to go on a trip. Rocky: Yeah. I think it’ll be fun if we to go a waterpark? Moonbin: Be it the swimming pool, the valleys or the ocean, I’m fine with wherever.

Lastly, please say something to the fans who are looking through this pictorial and reading this interview. JinJin: To the fans who are on our side looking forward to us and waiting for us. You must have a lot of worries and maybe feeling a little exhausted, but I hope you’d remember that all six of us are making an effort. We’ll run passionately in the future with no rest. Let’s all be filled with only happy events! Rocky: We will never disappoint you. We’ll show you an even better image. Yoon Sanha: Please cheer us on a lot. I love you, ROHA. Moonbin: I love our fans more than anyone else! Please always take care of your body and be sure to take your meals. MJ: We’ll meet soon.
