Is that the...? Yes, it is. The Italian government has moved Sarpedon Krater by Euphronios to Cerveteri. There is some slight evidence that it was robbed from a tomb in the general area.
This is a time when I back leaving objects in a national museum - the Villa Giulia - in Rome.
Among other things, there were 2 people in the museum during the 45 minutes I spent there - me and the woman at the ticket desk. Remember that old “but we take better care of antiquities here in America” argument? Proven.
