Happy Thorsday! - Here’s another 20 min sketch of a Norse (and Germanic, Celtic) mythological characters. This week it’s the Matrons Euthungae / Matronae Euthungae / Matribus Suebis Euthungabus
Also called the Seubian Matrons, or Matres Suebae, and The Matrons of Sidinae. Three guardian ancestral protective Matron (Mothers) and Goddesses, found mentioned in and around Euthungae, Collogne, and Deutz Germany. Likely from the Luthungi tribe of the Suebians.
Some feel that they are related to the Reuthungabus tribe. And the Euthungabus is merely a dropping of the letter on inscriptions. As Euthungiis is another spelling of Luthungi.
