Fatma is a photographer and writer from Gaza City. On July 9, she shared video from the back to back evacuations she and her family endured on July 7 and 8. First, on July 7, the IOF ordered resisents in Gaza City to evacuate their neighborhood and go to a "safe zone" in the western part of the city. That night and in the early hours of July 8, they had to evacuate again because of military operations nearby. Fatma shares her family's experience in her caption.

As someone who just spent the last few days not knowing if I was gonna be evacuated due to the fires...

...I would just like to suggest that, if you're the type to store household items in bins and boxes, make sure to sort things based on how important it is for you to save them. Have a bin for things you couldn't stand to lose, a bin for things that you wouldn't be terribly upset about losing, and bins for stuff in-between. It's a huge time-saver and makes a stressful situation a bit less stressful.

Go Bag

- Important documents (social security cards, birth certificate, car titles, etc… double bag them in Ziploc bags)

- At least four bottles of water

- Nonperishable food (protein bars, canned soup, beef jerky)

- First aid kit

- Hand and facial wipes (in case you can’t readily shower)

- Deodorant

- Tampons/pads

- A couple changes of clothes (clothes you can move around in)

- A change of shoes

- Cash, credit/debit cards

- Flashlights, batteries, iphone chargers

- Pet supplies (food, additional water bottles, leash)

- Rolled up trash bags (useful to have on hand)
