I have finished reading The Lumatere Chronicles -- and I just had to draw these chars headshots for future refs (Part 1)
Finnikin of The Rock by Melina Marchetta - 5*
Jeeeeeez - first book of the year and I rate it 5*? I'm becoming soft. No really, the Lumatere Chronicles is everything TOG should have been - I'm only one book in but I can't find a fault in the definitive world building, the beautiful characters and the intricate plot. Thank you Marchetta!

oh my gosh i had forgotten about Regarding the Fountain! What a lovely book
SOMEONE ELSE HAS READ THIS??? Honestly I love it so dearly. Puns! Ephemera! Shenanigans! I looked it up when I started writing this ficlet to make sure I hadn’t somehow imagined it and discovered that there are multiple sequels! I’m not sure if I want to read them or not, when the first one is so close to my heart. I always forget to mention it when I’m discussing formative books around here, but it really is.
