Talis and Ev give me so many feelings. I put them through it in Fractal Alliances, guys. Sorry, so sorry (...not).
One of the entertaining things about Ev and Councilman Shas is that they h a t e each other, but they work together so fucking well even before Shas gets torjic involved. Definitely has nothing to do with them both being ziojics of sorts.... no....

so Ev's hair is a whole thing that I was waiting to explain when I got to a big ol' "ziojics are weird" post (and maybe I did talk about it in the Patreon ziojic post from over a year ago, I don't remember) but I've kind of fallen off the "regular worldbuilding post" bandwagon for the time being, so here's a standalone post about fun ziojic quirks - like glowing hair!
in short, all ziojics resurrect with some sort of weird quirk of bioluminescence. They all get the glowing eyes and markings, but most also get something else - in Ev's case, their hair does this brown-white-orange gradient. Their hair also glows and can diffuse into magic when they feel strong emotions or use too much magic (and because of some other reasons, but they're spoilers for Finale lol).
beyond just that, Ev's freckles also glow in the dark sometimes lol.
some other fun quirks common amongst ziojics: glowing bones (Catie Davis), glowing veins (Corrin Merrinack), glowing fluids (saliva, blood, etc; Cole Hackerie), glowing scars, and the aforementioned glowing eyes and resurrection markings.
(prior to their resurrection, Ev's hair was just brown.)

I need you all to know Ev would 100% say this to someone and not think a thing of it. Their political alignment is amorphous at best because their 2 most prominent personal experiences with government are 1) being a rebel against a tyrannical goverment trying to kill people for land and 2) the fuckingg…. Empire of Aetheria.
Just about everyone around them finds this amusing considering their public facade is literally “(sort of) monarchical fascist pretending to be the leader of a democracy.” And in-person they’re just. The opposite of that.
