Evans Movie Night II Sam, Lucas & Natalie
Sam took Natalie with him to his and Lucas' room, knocking twice on the door to make sure Lucas wasn't naked or something. Natalie might not like that. Lucas opened the door and Sam grinned at him, lifting the bags full of treats. "Surprise!"
Luke opened the door, grinning, expecting it to be just Sam, but was pleasantly surprised when Natalie was with him. "Oh my gosh! Hey!" His smile was barely containable since he missed his sister so much. He pulled Nat into a huge hug and squeezed tightly. "I've missed you so much!"
Natalie beamed up at her oldest brother, letting herself be swept up into a hug, before taking a step back. "I've missed you too. Nice of the both of you to just run off, by the way." She made a mock-angry face, then sighed and let out a small giggle. "I can't be mad when I'm looking at the two of you and -- this room smells, by the way."
Sam rolled his eyes, grinning. "I was expecting to at least get in before the hugging began." He grinned, hugging both of them at once, before scowling at Natalie. "Hey, I had a reason. Lucas just couldn't bear to be without me anymore, right?" He looked over at Luke, smiling, before looking down at his sister, scoffing. "I haven't been in here all day. Blame the Beast." Sam scooted past both of them, cringing as he realised their beds were still pushed together. This was going to be awkward to explain.
Luke picked his sister up and carried her into the room, still in a hug. "Hey, it does not smell in here. You're just used to being in a house where someone cleans every day. Which we obviously know nothing about." He laughed as he finally set Nat down on the edge of their beds. "Right, Sam. I couldn't let you have all the fun over here, and Nat and I finally saw the error in our ways."
Natalie made a small face, secretly happy to be able to joke and tease around with them again, and bent down to take off her shoes as soon as she was sitting down. "Does too. That... boy smell. Icky." She rolled her eyes, the smile still on her lips. "Well, obviously. Couldn't let you have too much fun without me. And it was a lot of pressure -- being the oldest. I'd rather be with you two." And she had missed them, obviously. Terribly.
Sam sat down on the other bed, emptying the bags of their contents all over the bed in front of him, before he scooted back and rested against the headboard. "Again, Lucas' fault." He laughed, opening up a Pepsi and sipping at it. "This is why I love being the middle triplet. I've never the oldest or the youngest when you two are here." He was thankful that Natalie hasn't noticed the bed situation yet. He looked up at Lucas, catching his eyes, Sam's face showing how nervous he was.
Luke tried to give Sam a reassuring glance. He plopped down on what would be his side of the bed if they actually kept to sides. "I just get blamed for everything, don't I?" He laughed, taking in all of the treats that Sam and Nat brought with them. "Damn, there is a movie concession stand that is seriously rolling in the dough after you two cleaned them out." He smiled again, looking over at Sam, wishing he could scoot closer.
Natalie hummed happily to herself as she reached for one of the bags filled with mini-marshmallows, settling it on her lap. "You're the oldest. Of course it's your fault." After a moment or two, she went on. "It was Sam's treat, so of course I couldn't hold back. If you find a lollipop hidden somewhere, it's mine." She glanced at the two of them, finally settling for one spot on the end of the bed, by Sam's side, forcing her brother into the middle. Sort of where he always belonged.
Sam wished he could move over to cuddle with Lucas like they normally did when it was just the two of them. Luke was achingly close to him. He could touch him if he wanted to. The situation was worse when Natalie moved him into the middle, but the back of his hand touching Lucas' was some comfort. "Yup. My treat. Because I'm such a nice brother." He opened up a Nerds Rope, smiling at his siblings. "I love you. Both of you."
Luke was so tempted to put his arm around his brother and bring Sam's head to his chest. Things had been pretty rough in the past 24 hours and Luke knew that Sam needed him, but there wasn't much to do with Natalie with them now. "Yes, the best brother." He rolled his eyes playfully before grabbing a bag of skittles for himself. "Now, what movie have we decided on? I'm assuming Natalie's choice since she's the giiiirl." He stuck his tongue out at his sister.
Natalie pretended to be offended by Luke's words, while at the same time held back the urge to just rest her head on Sam's shoulder. There was a limit to how affectionate she could be in one day. "Maybe I'll let Stevie get that 'best brother' role after all. I didn't pick a movie, I picked most of the food. It's not like I really mind." She blew a raspberry right back at him, her elbow hitting Sam's side. "Hit him for me."
Sam nodded. "Thank you, other best brother. And yeah, I was betting on Natalie picking the movie." He rolled his eyes, eagerly hitting Lucas gently on the chest. He was going to take any excuse to touch him, if ever so slightly. He was trying to build up the courage to talk to Natalie about it, but he couldn't do it. "Go on Nat-Nat. Pick a movie."
Luke couldn't bear it. It wouldn't be long until they had to tell her, because surely she would be able to tell the more time they spent together. Luke was just praying it would be dark enough in their room that he could sneak in a small cuddle session during the movie. "We've got pretty much all of the family favorites, as well as any action movie you could imagine. So go on."
Natalie frowned as they ganged up on her. "Do you have the X-Men ones? I feel like watching some James Marsden, Hugh Jackman," she murmured, slightly distracted. "I mean -- I'm not in the mood for anything too serious, just spending time with you guys. Sam said you had to talk to me about something, though?" She blinked at them, genuinely wondering what was wrong, and picked up one of the Pepsi cans to wash down her marshmallows.
Sam sighed. "I love the actors in the first ones, but then, First Class is so much better. It's so conflicting." He laughed, before immediately stopping and sitting up straight when Natalie said that they needed to talk, the worry showing on his face. "Um...well...you know I said I was with Sebastian. And I...cheated...on...on him...well...um...I...” He looked over at Lucas, panic showing in his eyes. He didn't think he could say any more without hyperventilating. "L-Lucas. You...help." Sam gulped, looking back into Natalie's questioning eyes.
Luke agreed. "We could totally do a double feature. The first one, and then First Class, yeah?" He felt Sam tense beside him as the question of the hour came up a lot quicker than he was expecting. "Well...Natalie...Sam kind of...cheated on Sebastian...with me." He avoided his sister's gaze, not knowing at all how she would react to this news.
Natalie nodded, busily sipping her drink. She had first sat up straight when Sam began trying to explain himself. Of course, she hadn't expected him to start talking right then, even if she'd been curious about whatever was troubling him. She glanced at Luke then, completely confused. Her mouth dropped open, then, as she gaped at them, lost for words.
Sam felt his face getting hotter and hotter. He tried to speak but nothing came out, he just looked away from his sister, completely mortified. He was terrified to how she would react, and looked up at Lucas, trying to steady himself before he started crying or something. "Um...I...I...” He closed his mouth, trembling slightly with embarrassment.
Luke ventured to take Sam's hand, knowing this was a lot for his brother. “It’s a lot to take in, Nat, I know. But...we're kind of soul mates...and we can't really stop ourselves from loving each other, you know?" He was scared by her silence, and wondered how he became the one to do all the talking in a situation like this.
Natalie looked away for a long moment, trying to gather her thoughts. It was... something hard to process, really, given how she'd always taken pride on the relationship she shared with her brothers. Then again, even if she'd never come out and said it, she'd always known they were closer with each other than they'd ever be with her. Something about sharing every single little thing about you would do that. "I'm..." She paused, again, shaking her head. "I love you. Both of you. I just -- I probably never realized how much you loved each other." Natalie took a small breath, pursing her lips. "How long have you..." she trailed off, not really knowing what she wanted to ask.
Sam took Lucas' hand, squeezing it tighter than what would have been comfortable. Lucas was like an anchor to him. If he didn't do this he'd probably start crying or something. "Oh God, Natalie. I love you too." He reached out to take her hand, squeezing it softly. "It's just...like he said. He's my...my soul mate." He looked over at Lucas, smiling weakly, before turning back to Natalie. "Been together, done...that, or felt like this. Because, since Lucas got here, since Lucas got here, and ...well...forever." He sighed, his thumb rubbing over Luke's skin. "Seeing each other after so long apart, just...triggered something. I kissed him, and...It was like unlocking a door."
Luke smiled at Sam's braveness as he explained the situation to Natalie. "I love you too, Natalie. Like he said, it was something that just...was always there and eventually exploded in our faces. In a good way." He squeezed Sam's hand back reassuredly, before turning back to Nat. "So, with that out of the way. X-men, yes?"
Natalie nodded again, slowly, managing to crack a faint smile. "X-Men. Yep." She chewed on her bottom lip, trying to keep her mind from spinning away from her, and picked up one of the bags of Doritos. "So those messages I kept getting earlier today..."
Sam let go of their hands, standing up shakily and putting in the DVD of the first X-Men movie, picking up some more Doritos as he crawled back up the bed. "They were true, yes. People here...people know. We're not the only ones." He gulped. "Blaine and Everett. Quinn and Charlie. They're the same." As he settled down, he took Lucas' hand, holding it softly. "Please just don't freak out."
Luke nodded along. "Like I said, there are a few assholes around here that like to fuck shit up." Once Sam settled back on the bed, Luke went to put his arm around him while continuing to hold his hand. "I don't know what we'd do without our sister's support."
Natalie sighed a little, gulping soundly as a small 'oh' left her lips. "You're my... There's nothing in the world that could make me stop loving the two of you. Or supporting you." She buried her head on Sam's neck, one of her hands reaching out towards Luke. "Just... you need to stop hiding things from me, okay? Anything, I don't care how small or how ... monumentally big it seems."
Sam Sam smiled happily, his hand going over Natalie's shoulder as he kissed her hair. "Thank you. Thank you so much. I've been terrified of telling you all day. I thought you'd be disgusted." He kissed her again, leaning into Lucas. "We're so awesome."
Luke grinned as they were in a group hug. "The Evans clan is unstoppable. And Nat's right. No more secrets. It's a deal. No matter what." He leaned back into the bed as the movie began. "Now let's have a lovely movie night."
Natalie held on tight to her brothers, shaking her head. "The only disgusting thing you've ever done involved mud in my hair. If I didn't freak out that badly after that, I can take on anything." She reached over, grabbing more of the pillow, and settled back comfortably. "Mm. Mind if I stay here tonight?" she asked, peering up at them shyly.
Sam laughed at that. "Yeah, that was pretty disgusting." He grinned at his sister, nodding. "Of course you can stay here tonight. Right Lukeyluke? We just have to sort out...well, how. It will be different not sleeping on Lucas' chest. I told you he was Best Pillow." He sighed happily, perfectly relaxed in this position. "I'm surprised you didn't say anything about the beds being super close together. Or that one of them hasn't been slept in." He chuckled softly, turning his head to face his brother when he was sure Natalie wasn't looking, pursing his lips for a kiss.
Luke laughed. "Who said you're not sleeping with me? We can still share a bed, and Nat can have the other one." Lucas grinned. "If that's okay with you, of course." Luke smiled before quickly returning Sam's kiss, still not completely sure how far they could press their luck when it came to Natalie knowing now.
Natalie wrinkled her nose as she considered what was going on around her, still not completely grasping the situation, and shook her head. "I don't really notice those little details. I'm, uh, maybe I'll just go back to my room after all. It won't bode well for me if I can't sleep in it the first night I'm here, right?" That, and the breathing space would probably help her mind a little. She kept her eyes firmly on the TV in front of them.
Sam laughed at Luke, kissing him quickly before pulling back. He listened to Natalie, frowning, before hitting Luke in the chest softly. "Well done Lucas. You've freaked her out already. I was going to suggest you two take the beds and I'll take the floor." He sighed, rubbing his sister's shoulder. "Are you sure?"
Luke frowned. "Come on, Nat. Sam's idea works too. I was a little...quick on the draw, I guess. I don't want to make you uncomfortable." Lucas leaned back, letting Sam take the reins, since he was doing a lot better at the whole damage control thing than he was.
Natalie shook her head, smiling a little. "Look, I didn't -- I didn't mean to offend you guys. I'm cool with this, but I sort of need to have my own bed. Maybe Skype with the girls tonight or just pull an all-nighter while tidying up everything. It's no big deal." She chewed on her bottom lip again, trying to sound as certain as she felt. "It was a bit of a shock. I'll have to sleep on it to just feel... better, you know?"
Sam nodded. "If you're sure, Nat-Nat. If you ever need anything, you know you can come right to me, okay? I get how big this must be to you. It's fine if you need that space." He smiled encouragingly. "Just remember what I told you. Watch out for /those/ people." He kissed her cheek, sitting up and grabbing some Red Vines. "I love you, Nat. I really, really do."
Luke smiled at his sister. "Yeah, sorry that this is so much for you as soon as you came here. But it's kind of something that would have come out sooner or later."
Natalie shrugged again. "I'll deal. I do love the both of you and I can take care of myself, Samtimus. Besides, warning somebody against someone else will only serve the opposite intention," she lectured, only slightly joking. But, then again, she really could take care of herself. "I wasn't back here for an hour before I started getting those messages, so I sort of appreciate you not holding back and telling me after all. Now shush while Cyclops is talking, 'kay?"
Sam agreed with Luke. "And it's better sooner. I didn't want you finding out the details from someone like Sebastian. Who seems hell-bent on ruining my life at the moment." He sighed, running a hand through his hair. "I'm trying to be there for him, and he just throws everything back into my face." Sam shrugged. "Sorry. I know how much you love your laser-eyed men."
Luke laughed as Nat's obsession with James Marsden. "Fine, no more talking." He tugged his arm around Sam tighter so they could be closer. They could still cuddle after all, right? Just a little tamer than what they were used to. Luke could basically recite this movie verbatim, so he didn't have to pay much attention.
Natalie made a small face as she tried to listen to James Marsden -- really, in her opinion, the movies didn't have enough of him -- and glanced back at Sam. "He didn't seem that rude to me... but, then again, there's your history." She poked Sam's side, since she couldn't very well reach Luke's, and contented herself with some more marshmallows, feeling more content than she had in weeks.
Sam grunted. "Sebastian is charming when you first meet him. Kind, generous, complimentary. The day after Luke and I happened, he slushied me. I fell into a locker, pretty much cracking my head open, and he walked off and left me there bleeding. This from a guy who then says he loved me." Sam sighed, cuddling into Lucas, poking Natalie's side back. The Sebastian situation was really hurting him. He was trying so hard to be there for him, and Sebastian just kept stabbing him.
Luke stayed silent for the most part. He didn't really want to talk about Sebastian, since he
was trying to keep himself from hurting Sam's ex-boyfriend. So he just cuddled with Sam, laughing at the corny jokes the movie was making.
Natalie frowned. "I thought there'd be none of that around here," she said, trying to keep her voice steady. The last thing they wanted was a repeat - Sam or anyone getting hurt
Sam nodded. "There wasn't until that." Sam sighed, his fingers tickling on Lucas' forearm as he watched the movie. "Don't make a fool out of Sebastian. I'm 99% sure he was going to leave me, anyway. He told me flat-out he wanted me to...you know...with three people...purely so he could have sex with Garrett without it being cheating."
Luke frowned as well, really not wanting to hear about all of this again. He laughed lightly as Sam ghosted his fingers along Luke's arm. Something about him felt so safe and he was happy that the three eldest Evans were finally together in a much safer environment for Sam. He sighed, placing a small kiss on the top of Sam's head.
Natalie recoiled immediately at the mental images that could've surfaced then, shovelling some more marshmallows into her mouth. "I'd kick any boy who ever told me that," she managed to get out, visibly shuddering. "Do I have permission to get all protective little sister on other people if I see them throwing anything at your or shoving you again?" She glanced at Luke, unusually quiet. Then again, he had known about things while she hadn't. It was probably harder on his end.
Sam nodded. "Be my guest. I'd love to see Sebastian taken out by a girl who's about a foot shorter than him." He grinned at the image, relaxing into Lucas' kisses to his head. He felt bad for putting Lucas through that. He kissed his arm, his fingers making little heart patterns on it, before looking up and smiling at the screen. "I love Storm. She's so badass. Not like Rogue, giving up her powers."
Luke hummed contently. "That would be a sight to see." He would be thankful to see Nat try so he wouldn't react violently to Sebastian. Violence would probably result in him being suspended, which would not be good for him or Sam. "Shh, she doesn't give them up in this one. She was a scared girl, I don't know what I would've done with that power. It would've scared the shit out of me too."
Natalie "Okay, you did not just hate on Rogue. That movie was so ... ugh. X-Men 3 did not happen in my happy little bubble. How could they just kill Scott that way?" she was practically fuming. "I'll keep my eyes open for any occasion where I could chew them out. Nobody's allowed to mess with my family -- and it's about time I did something for you, too." She smiled a little at her brothers' somewhat weak confidence on her skills. She could too work up her intimidating-ness if she wanted to.
Sam agreed. "Truth. X2 was it. It ended with Jean's death." He shuddered at the thought of the third film. It was horrible. "Thank you. Thank you, both of you. I'm sorry we had to move because I couldn't face my fears." Sam sighed loudly. "I'm just a big baby. Everyone knows it. All those anons I got did. A whiny, clingy, idiot." Sam rested his head on the pillow, biting his cheek as he looked up at the screen, annoyed with himself. The other's lives had been disrupted completely over him.
Luke held Sam a little closer. "Don't say that. You're fantastic. People have made your life a living hell and you don't deserve it at all. You're none of those things. Please don't take stock into what they're saying."
Natalie shook her head immediately, resting her head on Sam's shoulder. "You're not a big baby. You went through a lot in silence and you kept things quiet to not bother anyone else - when clearly you should've told us before it got too way out of hand. You're not whiny nor clingy nor an idiot." She bit her lip. "We love you, okay? I would tell you if you were being an idiot, ever."
Sam smiled weakly. "I love you too. I'm sorry I didn't say anything. Honestly...I didn't want them to go after you as well." He snuggled into Lucas' warmth, humming slightly. "I love you. Both of you. It's so great having two people nearby to look after me." He grinned. "One to beat up everyone that tries to hurt us.....and one to hold her bags." He
laughed, interlacing his fingers with Lucas'.
Luke laughed at the idea of Nat being the bodyguard in their family. It was kind of true, though. Lucas had quite a temper, but he never really let it get much more than heated
words with the person he was fighting with. He planted another soft kiss on Sam's head.
Natalie grinned proudly, letting herself curl up against Sam's other side, a little bit mollified. "People should be scared. I'm 5'4 and blonde and a girl, but I can hold my own," she protested weakly. Maybe she was some sort of a very fiercely protective Chihuahua. She knew better than to say that aloud, though. "I think I'm pretty beat, though. I should get back to my own room before it's too late." And try and find some way to distract her mind a little. Possibly dance the rest of the night away in her room.
Sam laughed, beaming as he kissed first Lucas' cheek and then Nat's. "I'd be terrified of you, Nat-Nat. You pack a harder punch than I do." He grinned at her, untangling himself from his siblings to get to his feet, pulling Natalie up with him. "Okay. I love you, Nat." He kissed her forehead, grinning. "Come back whenever you want."
Luke rose to his feet as well. "Our room is always open to our favorite sister." He grinned, giving her a hug as well. "Don't be a stranger, and let us know if there's anything we can do to help you get along around here."
Natalie let herself be hugged by both her brothers, nodding along to what they said. "Well, Sammy never did point me in the direction of any cute boys eligible for me to date. Or just hang out with. I could use some of that." She grinned, kissing both their cheeks. "I'd like to hear about that, and preferably before you tell the entire school that your little sister is off limits. Didn't work so well last time, after all. It just got me better at sneaking around." Yep. She was going in for the kill.
Sam laughed at that. "Well, come on now. Would you really want to date someone I told you to go after? No." He shook his head, grinning as Natalie kissed his cheek. "Don't worry. I'm only telling the people I don't like that you're off limits. I'm not having them dating you, Natalie. Even if most are gay."
Luke laughed a little bit. "You're going to have a hard time trying to find someone at this school who is single and heterosexual, unfortunately for you." He grinned. The thought of Nat dating anyone he knew here was kind of an annoying thought.
Natalie groaned dramatically. "I wasn't looking to date again so soon, but it'd be nice knowing I had options-- Well. I'll live with that disappointment and focus that energy elsewhere. So... goodnight, see you in the morning?" She glanced at them, almost afraid they'd disappear again if she let them out of her sight for too long, and moved towards the door, throwing a small wave over her shoulder.
Sam grinned as she left, turning on his heel and throwing his arms around his brother, finally able to hug properly. He leaned up, kissing Lucas gently. "We did it, baby."
Luke returned Nat's small wave, waiting for the door to close before returning his brother's embrace, releasing all of his tension from the situation. "I can't believe it.
Sam pulled his brother onto the bed, cuddling up to his chest as they both just laid there, thinking about the evening. "I know, Lukey. But...it's true." He sighed happily. "I love you so much, soul mate."
Luke wrapped his arms even tighter around Sam. "I love you too."
