I’m genuinely surprised there appears to be no content across the fandom, of Heinrix helping the mutilated Evayne Winterscale on the RT’s ship, even if he may not be able to outright regrow the removed eye with the difficulty and timescale had.

Either as a Heinrix spotlight moment, with its direct relation to his own deep-held trauma of eye loss due to someone very important to you that should never have harmed you, or with how it’s one of the earliest points the Rogue Trader can get a hint that the Inquisitor has his softer aspects, with whatever impact that may have going forwards on the RT’s opinion.

It’s him who stabilises Evayne after all , unprompted;

Heinrix reaches a hand toward Evayne, and the temperature drops a few degrees; "He is in a bad way, but timely assistance from a chirurgeon will save his life. For now, I will... do what I can."

And when Idira asks if he can grow the eye back?:

Idira whistles as she watches Evayne’s breathing even out: “Fancy that ice man…can you make his eye grow back too?”

Heinrix fixes Idira a strange look: “It is more difficult than it may seem.”

That is not a no to at least doing something, which that man is not afraid to say no to people.

Heinrix has companion banter points later too - where he views the much younger idealistic man as foolish for trying to help his friend, but in a surprisingly for an Inquisitor, sympathetic you’ll just make yourself a victim via good intentions sort of way.

Essentially - the sort of “hidden kindness” stuff I am surprised the fandom has not been all over!

Not criticism at all to anyone, everyone should enjoy making the content they themselves want after all, just a genuine huh.

okay, it looks like now I can start writing Heinrix sticking himself into Rykad Minoris' politics. I already inserted the baroness there trying to take over from incompetent governor Medineh; now Warden Casteglia and Evayne Winterscale could have a romance? Tragic one?

Plus there is a cool pirate grandpa Bakhval and this guy whose diary we find in prison. Very existentialist.

I feel bad that Rykad Minoris is doomed, so many cool people.

But they now are founding in new colony if you play iconoclast.
