Tagging ➙ Senay Seine & Sam Evans Time Frame ➙ Tuesday Afternoon — [02.02.16] Location ➙ Ocean Beach | San Francisco, CA General Notes ➙ It’s lit.
Sam kept a tight hold to his suitcase while slinging his guitar case over his shoulder. There was always a bit of a scramble at airports, and maybe he was in some kind of rush to get the hell out of the crowd and to a familiar face he hadn't seen in person in weeks. Moving quickly towards the entrance, his smile grew wider once he spotted Senay in the designated waiting spot for pick-ups, pushing up his shades once he drew closer. "Hiya, beautiful."
Senay managed to settle the case of excited jitters she harbored, just before parking Sam’s truck at the airport and hopping out of it to wait for him. She blamed the nerves on their separation, and the weeks spent without his company that were harder to get through than she imagined. Now, only good energy remained, and she had nothing but a bright grin to offer when she spotted her fiancé, suppressing an urge to run toward him. The skip she settled for was good enough to serve as a way for her to make it to him quicker when she gave up on her plan of cooly resting against the side of his truck. “Hey yourself,” she greeted as she reached out to take one of his bags, pausing after she did to press a chaste kiss to his lips. “I am really happy to see you, babe. I missed the hell out of you. For a minute, I thought you weren’t going to come back. I’m not exactly proud to say that I imagined this crazy ass ‘Johnny Appleseed with a guitar’ type of scenario for you.”
Sam laughed a little and took his bag from her grasp, setting it on the ground in favor of wrapping his arms around her because it'd been too damn long and that little kiss wasn't nearly enough. "You'd better kiss me like you missed me, else I'mma get back on that plane" he told her, already dipping his head and brushing his lips to hers. They were still in the pickup zone and he was sure there'd be honks about them holding up traffic, but Sam didn't care. Seeing his lady, leaning against his truck with an excited smile just for him and knowing he was missed as much as he missed her was the best feeling in the world. And he was planning to savor it, capturing her lips with a deep, satisfied moan. "Fuck, I missed you too."
Senay was all set to protest when Sam swiped his bag back, but once she was all folded into his arms, her need to argue faded...mostly. “You’re not going anywhere now that you’ve seen me. We both know that.” She pressed slender fingers along the curve of his jaw, her eyes fluttering at the teasing pass of lips until he claimed the full, unhurried kiss she truly wanted. It felt so fucking familiar and necessary that she shivered a bit, curling an arm around his neck to invite another heady kiss that she didn’t separate from until the burning in her chest demanded that she do so. “I was trying to wait until we got into the car to do that. I was going to pull over somewhere and just jump on you.” With a flick of her tongue, she teased his lips again, taking one more quick kiss. “But this works, too. I guess we don’t have to make that stop now.”
Sam "Couldn't wait," he mumbled once they'd finally parted...reluctantly on his end. It was sheer greediness that kept him coming back, stealing light presses and chuckling in between, pointedly ignoring the honking around them. "Oh we're still making that stop. I'm gonna need another shot of Seline in like ten minutes. Making up for lost time." His hand absently swatted her butt and Sam flashed her a smile before stepping from his embrace. "C'mon, babylove. Before I gotta throw my suitcase at some honking jackass." Sam opened the driver's side for her, and quickly loaded his guitar and bags into the back, finally swinging into the passenger seat. "Alright. Let's roll. It feels so damn good to be back home. I might even miss the annoying traffic. Missed you more, though."
Senay didn't care for the impatient antics of those around them, choosing to ignore rather than engage because her Sammy was back and little else mattered. "We'll make the stop when you need that shot," she assured him, "But we should at least get a few minutes away from the airport before we do. I'm not letting you get into any fights today." Back behind the wheel, Senay made herself comfortable on the pillow she brought along to sit herself up high enough to see above the dash before buckling in, waiting until Sam was settled until she pulled off. The ride was slow at first, allowing her to steal unabashedly steal glances. "Good to know I'm better than traffic. You better ease up on the romance, or else I might just drive us to Vegas so we can get hitched. Could you go for a little more time on the road? Or have you had enough of it for the time being?"
Sam did a great job of keeping his laugh in once he spotted the pillow she'd laid down for a boost, simply smiling when he caught one of her many glances. "You're way better than traffic, baby. Might be competing with cheesecake, but we'll see how the day goes." Despite the long flight from New York, Sam was feeling more energized than ever. He chalked it up to relief at finally being at home and with his best girl. "Please. Any time with you, I'm down for. It's been what, damn near two months? You're gonna be seeing this face for at least a full day. I can't wait to feel those sharp elbows nudging my side 'cause I'm all up on ya in my sleep again. I've missed it like crazy. Say the word, and we can make Vegas happen. Though, I don't think our families would be too happy about that..."
Senay beamed, tapping small fingers lightly against the steering wheel as they crept along. “I’ll settle for a tie with cheesecake. You’re tied with brownies in my eyes.” Loving the idea of having to share their bed again, Senay could only laugh, even continuing to giggle at the idea of being fully scolded if their families found out they decided to get married on a whim. “I’m all for getting you back in bed, but we sure as hell don’t have to go all the way to Vegas. I can’t get you in trouble with your family. They like me so much, I wouldn’t want to ruin that by having them think I’m a bad influence on you. We’ll keep it chill tonight.” Reaching over, she snatched one of Sam’s hands for a quick squeeze, asking, “Are you ready for bed now? I made some very light plans, but those can be canceled if you need your beauty sleep.”
Sam "Brownies are delicious, so I don't fault you for that at all." However, he still wasn't about that Vegas life. He was already picturing his parents' reaction and that judgment was strong. "You are a bad influence on me. The worst, actually. Wait no, that's probably Iz. You're still terrible though. But I'll save you the hassle of my parents finding that out." Sam was curious about her plans, knowing he wouldn't be able to sleep for a few more hours, thanks to the wonky time difference. His grip lingered on her slender fingers for as long as the flow of traffic would allow as he shook his head. "Nah, I'm good. Alert and everything for now, so we might as well take advantage of it. What's your plans, Stan?"
Senay narrowed her eyes, her face twisting in a frown because of the blatant lies her fiancé insisted on telling. “I couldn’t be a bad influence on you if I tried. That’s literally impossible. You’re already terrible, so really, what harm could I possibly do?” As far as Senay knew, Sam’s family was quite fond of her and she planned on keeping things that way. “We’re going to the beach,” she announced, just as they hit the highway, momentarily mulling over whether or not she should go into any further detail. Knowing that a need to babble would likely get the best of her during the twenty minute ride to Ocean Beach, she decided to spill. “A few people other than me may have missed you, and they wanted to throw you a little welcome back get -together. Nothing big, just a beach hangout with some folks who want to see your face.”
Sam pressed a hand to his chest, olive eyes wide with shock. "'Already terrible'? If I were wearing pearls, they'd be clutched by now. No one is gonna believe that lie. My eyes are kind and my beard is fluffy. I'm innocent by default." He flashed her a cheeky grin; it'd been so long since their typical back and forth, and he missed it a lot, knowing it wasn't exactly the same over the phone. A trip to the beach only piqued his curiosity and Sam knew that with a few more questions he could most likely get more info out of Senay and her babbling, but he figured he was good with waiting. "Well so long as this beach hangout has a nice fire and a beer or two, I'm good. I've been in and out of concert halls and clubs for months, and let me tell you, baby, lowkey sounds awesome right about now. I won't even ask who you've roped into hanging out with us, either."
Senay stood by her words with a hum and deep nod, refusing to break into the smile she held behind pursed lips. “Already terrible. We both know you’re hiding nothing but sin beneath that beard. I was lured in by those pretty eyes at first, but I quickly found out that you were no good. Rotten as hell, is what.” It felt damn good to be snarky with Sam again. Senay didn’t immediately note that her most recent exchanges with him were short on the sass, filled with more schmaltz than anything because she wanted him to know just how badly he was missed. She offered sweetness in spades, and didn’t mind one bit, but she was glad to be back in regular form, feeling comfortable as she kept up with the steady flow of traffic. “I figured we should ease you back into life at home. I know things have been kind of fast-paced for you lately. So it’ll be chill tonight. I have to say, though, this wasn’t even my idea. My original plan was to grab a hotel room and make up for lost time. Maaaybe we’d be finished up by the weekend, but who could say?”
Sam could still see the smile she was trying to hide, which naturally only made him grin wider. "Rotten...you come to me, on the day of my return home, with these lies? That's ice cold. 'Lured'. If I recall, you're the one who pushed that cute butt against me. Everyone knows I'm pretty much helpless after that happens. Bell Biv DeVoe warned me...'never trust a big butt and a smile' and I should've listened. But now I'm stuck and in love and getting married to you, despite the lies you tell so it's not too bad." The idea of a hotel was tempting, but Sam had seen enough of those to last him for the next few months. He was happy for a change of plans, the call of the beach too strong to ignore. "I'm all for being holed up in a bed with you for the next few days. But I want our bed and those million and one pillows you insist on keeping, like we're prepping for a pillow famine." His hand settled atop her thigh while she drove, moving smoothly through the traffic, seemingly thinning out the closer they got to the beach. "So whose idea was it, then?"
Senay couldn’t hold it together, bursting into a mirthful giggle when Sam evoked the sage advice of Bel Biv DeVoe. “How dare you?” she drawled, doing her best to seem incredulous despite the grin curving full lips. “Are you really going to sit there and pretend like you weren’t rubbing me down with peppermint oil while Frank Ocean set the mood right?” A scoff broke her smile momentarily, but it returned with talk of the bed she wanted to get Sam into as soon as possible. “All that sass, and your only point is that you missed my pillows. I knew you would. Our bed is comfortable as hell, thanks to me. I don’t know how you got a good night’s sleep before I blessed your life with premium pillow bliss.” With their destination approaching, Senay didn’t mind spilling the rest of the beans, figuring it would all come out anyway. “It was Dev’s idea. He actually wanted to take you on some dude date when you made it back, but I was having none of that. You’ve been away from me for months, I’m not letting you out of my sight until I’m good and ready.” It was easy to find a space to park near the fire pit area where the rest of their group would be waiting, and once the truck was straightened out and turned off, Senay turned to Sam, admitting, “I got real possessive. Babe, he threatened to lock me in a closet so he could beat me to the airport and I was going to fight his tall ass.”
Sam shrugged. "All of that was innocent. I was just trying to help out a friend. I couldn't help it that you were gorgeous and being with you put me at ease. I was a man in recovery. We'll blame it on Frank Ocean." He couldn't deny he missed their bed, pillows and all though he was cool with letting her shape the narrative. "I got along pretty well without those mountains, thank you. But I guess they're alright now." The 'who' of their meetup only made him smile, laughing a bit at his fiancee's determined look while retelling her struggle with their friend. "Not gonna lie, I would have loved to see you fight Dev though. I kinda like it when you're all possessive and angry. Gives me the good tingles." Once the car was stopped and they were parked in the beach's lot, Sam was content to unbuckle his seatbelt and lean in for a gentle kiss. "You can have me for as long as you want after this. I'm fully supporting that plan."
Senay couldn’t argue with all the compliments. Normally, she would jump at the opportunity to continue disagreeing, but concession was easier and preferred once they reached the beach, especially after she considered herself the victor of the pillow spat. “The pillows come with me. If you love me, you love them. End of. I’ll fight you or Dev or anyone else because I’m cute but I’m scrappy and I’ll get you at your knees.” Sliding over, Senay hummed at the kiss Sam offered, a quiet sigh escaping as she unhurriedly claimed another. “We’ll party for a bit, then I’ll take you home and give you the kind of welcome you can’t get in this truck,” she promised, lips sliding over his and giving a light, teasing pinch as she pulled away. Before she got any ideas about continuing, Senay grabbed her bag and the blanket resting beneath it in the back seat, hopping out of her seat in a swift jump and rounding the truck to reach for Sam’s hand. She used her other to point out the spot along the beach where their friends were already gathered, “I’ll share you for now just because those awesome folks were kind enough to keep me busy while you were away. Plus, they missed your butt, too.”
Sam smiled at her fire, and happily accepted another kiss, even as he groaned at the thought of waiting on the kind of reunion he really wanted. "I mean we could have that type of welcome in the truck...but I also know I don't wanna be interrupted, so fine fine. I'll wait." He hopped down from Big Blue and grasped Senay's smaller hand as they walked. "I'm glad my butt was missed. But I'm really happy to hear you had some good company while I was gone. Not that Lark and Gizzy aren't great, but there's only so long you can hang out with the furry friends without having to bribe them with treats." Down on the sand, Sam noticed the familiar trio, sitting atop the large blanket, with a bonfire already going. His smile was still in place when they were spotted and he loosened his hold on Senay's hand to accept the warm hugs from Sydney and Nia, and clapped Deval soundly on the back before taking the blanket from Senay to spread out on the sand. "We're so happy to see you!" Nia exclaimed. "I'm so happy to be back, y'all have no idea. Traveling on the road was fun but man, it's so nice to be in one damn place for more than a night." He made a comfortable spot on the blanket, stretching out his legs and gesturing for Senay to settle against him. "This is just what I needed, too. Thanks for setting everything up. Really."
Senay gave Sam’s cheek a pat, “There’s not enough room in here for what I want to do with you. Plus, I don’t think the friends would appreciate having to wait.” When they made it to the pit, Senay grinned at the makeshift party, complete with snacks, a full cooler, and even a few bright balloons weighted down with rocks and sprinkled in spots far away from the fire. It was a cute little set-up, well-suited for the calm, sunset lit vibe. Once the blanket was spread out, she swiped two beers before she sat, twisting the caps off both and handing one to Sam, agreeing, “This is the perfect kind of chill to get him acclimated.” Nia poked at the fire, adding more wood to keep the flames going strong. “It was no trouble at all, aka Syd did most of the work and we appreciate her for not complaining.” With a shake of her head and playful roll of her eyes, Sydney shrugged, “I’m a saint, I know. I may have lost like five or ten balloons while I was setting up but that’s neither here nor there.” Kicking out a leg, she nudged Sam’s foot to get the blond’s attention. “So tell us about life on the road. We can only find out so much from stalking you online, and I know you have some good stories to tell.”
Sam took the beer and gave Senay a sweet kiss to the cheek for her troubles. The atmosphere was so peaceful, the fire pit, the balloons, the gentle tumble of the waves, and the company of the trio he'd come to consider great friends. An arm curled around Senay's middle while he listened to the two ladies talk about their prep for the mini-get together and he smiled. "Well I'm sure all the balloons you lost were still awesome too." There was so much to tell about the road life, Sam wasn't sure where to begin, but he kicked off the response with a healthy sip of beer and a smile. "I appreciate y'all stalking me. And yes, I did bring y'all back some souvenirs, so you'll have to grab 'em from the truck before you leave." He laughed at Nia's happy shimmy and continued. "It was pretty hectic, like a lot of the time. Every other day I'd get a break and just explore whatever city we were in. Got lost in Chicago and that was not fun. I am a Southern boy forreal, and that cold was something else, let me tell you. Caught the tale end of the blizzard in Baltimore. The show was cancelled that night and everyone just hung out at the hotel. The next day we had a snowball fight in the courtyard. Made me think of college, it was so great. We weren't playing for arenas, but the crowds were still big. The Fillmore at DC was really cool. And we ate at that restaurant the President goes to...Ben's Chili Bowl...so damn good. I can honestly tell you more about the food in every city than anything else. My jeans are much tighter than when I left." That earned him a few laughs, and he stopped to take another sip.
Senay settled at Sam’s side, quietly sipping her beer while he talked about his tour-related adventures. Though she heard plenty of his stories over video chats and phone calls, even getting well-appreciated photo updates from time to time, she still giggled all the same at his retellings. She shared a look with Deval, both of them judging and laughing at the anecdotes. “Of course you got lost…” Dev said, leaning back to rest on one of his palms. “See, that’s why you should have brought me along. I could have been your roadie slash cuddle buddy for those chilly Chi-Town nights. “ He affected a shiver, pointedly ignoring Sydney’s rebuttal that he, “Wouldn’t lift anything heavier than a pillow.” More giggles eased out of Senay, and she pressed them to the rim of her beer bottle, making a solid, yet unsuccessful attempt to stare down Deval. “If you’re not lifting anything, Dev, it’s good that you stayed your ass right here where I could watch you. I told you that I’m Sam’s only cuddle buddy, sir... I’m all for the tight jeans, though. They shouldn’t fit any other way, honestly.” At the last part, she turned to steal a kiss from Sam, her attention drawn back when Nia spoke up. “I second the tight jeans love. How about we make them a little tighter? There are s’mores that need to happen and you’re not allowed to say no.”
Sam laughed heartily at Dev and Senay's back and forth, shaking his head while he dug out a spot in the sand to rest his beer. "I see you're trying to get your shins bruised with that cuddling talk. Senay's already told me y'all were battling for my affections while I was gone and it is mighty flattering to know you were thisclose to catching hands over me. We'll just set up that cuddle date another time though." The last part was whispered dramatically behind his palm, earning him a few giggles from Dev's ladies. He was all smiles for the girl in his lap, though, grinning at the brief kiss and was only distracted once talk of s'mores surfaced. "I can't even tell you the last time I had one. Damn the tight jeans, I'm getting my s'mores on. My only request is we keep Senay from chocolate and marshmallow duty if anyone's trying to make one tonight. Those little hands can't be trusted." Sydney laughed and reached into the cooler for the packages of chocolate while Nia prepped the other essentials, including the skewers for the marshmallow roasting. "I'd ask if she was really that bad, but we've all hung out enough to know you're probably right. Still won't stop me from sneaking her a few extras." She gave Senay a small wink and Sam shook his head. "I come back and you two are still plotting against the rest of us. Nice to see that hasn't changed."
Senay paid little attention to not-so-secret secret cuddling arrangements outside of tossing some well-deserved side-eye and promising, "Let me find out any cuddling went down behind my back and neither of you are going to be in the six foot plus club anymore." The threats were virtually meaningless, especially with everyone in their small circle knowing that Senay rarely served up more than a good pinch when it came to starting a fight. Besides, chocolate and marshmallows appeared and Senay had more important things to be concerned with. “There’s other sweets in the cooler,” Sydney pointed out while Nia handed everyone their own skewer, “But we’ll go one course at a time so the little lady can pace herself.” Senay shrugged, unapologetic as she quietly pulled the bag of marshmallows closer to her side. "I could pretend to be extremely offended right now, but I won't even bother. I know who I am, you all know who I am, so I'm going to go ahead and get started on my sugar rush while my fave enables me." Nia grinned, tossing a marshmallow that Senay arched forward to catch between her teeth. “I knew I was the favorite... How could you call this plotting when this is nothing but pure cute? It’s not our fault you left and I fulfilled all of Nay’s candy dreams, Sam.”
Sam gave her hip a small squeeze while accepting the skewer. "I ain't scared of those threats, ma'am. Especially if you've already shoved me to the side with this 'fave' talk. I would push you away but you're warm and my body is still adjusting to west coast weather." Sam snatched a couple marshmallows from the bag Senay was safeguarding and pierced them through his skewer before leaning it towards the fire. "Y'all enabled my lady's habits, is what. No wonder she was always hopped up and bouncing off the walls whenever I called. How many bags of Skittles did you clear through in my absence?"
Senay covered her mouth as she laughed, pressing her fingers against one her full chipmunk-esque cheeks as she swallowed her mouthful. “Keep me close,” she told Sam, sweetly nuzzling his cheek, “I wouldn’t want my baby to freeze.” Nia shook her head, smirking at the pair and Sam’s accusations as she carefully held her stick above the pit to toast her marshmallow. “That’s how long you’ve been gone, man. I’ve upgraded your girl. She’s no longer living that struggle Skittles life. She has moved on to bigger and better pocket candy--Starbursts, M&Ms, Reese’s Pieces, Twizzlers, and even some chocolate truffles here and there. We’re slowly refining her palate.” Senay shrugged, insisting, “My palate was fine, but there was no way I would turn down shopping trips meant for buying me candy and nothing else.” As he smashed together chocolate, graham crackers, and a browned marshmallow, Dev interjected, “For the record, that was all those two--no one else supported all that damn candy eating. We learned the hard way that we couldn’t trust that pair to run to the store for anything we needed. They always came back with bags full of sugar. Disappointed me every time.”
Sam pretended to think on her words, but couldn't resist moving in a little closer to the nuzzling action. The mention of his own favorite (but almost always forbidden, to him) candy had Sam arching a brow in surprise at his fiancee. "Hold up, Starbursts? You've finally moved to the winning team? Baby, I'm so proud." He blew a loud, raspberry kiss to her cheek and grinned at Nia. "I knew those candy hoarding skills would come in handy one day. Good looking out, darlin'. You can keep those Twizzlers though..." It didn't surprise him, hearing about the twosome and their quest for the sugary treat haul. And despite Dev's dramatic lamenting, Sam knew he most likely encouraged the women. Still, he managed a nod of manly understanding while he leaned in to prepare his own s'mores, sandwiching the toasted marshmallow between the graham crackers and chocolate squares. "It sounds like y'all just survived off the candy aisle. I see my cooking skills were missed." Dev nodded at that, finishing his bite before flashing Sam a grin. "I was just thinking about good barbecue. And maybe I missed you, grumbling about the proper dry rub like a snob, too." Sam chuckled and tossed a marshmallow at the other man. "Aww, babe. I missed you too. We'll have to grill out sometime soon. And it feels so nice to say that in wintertime again. My body ain't used to the snow anymore, I tell you what."
Senay nodded at the praise, her smile bright and unyielding as she leaned further into the messy kiss Sam planted. “I’m trying to do better, just for you.“ Popping apart pieces of another chocolate bar, Senay realized she was just fine eating her treat in pieces rather than as a whole, though she did eventually dangle a marshmallow over the fire so that she could enjoy the sticky goodness of the warmed sweet while Dev and Sam gabbed about barbecue. “It sounds like we’re going to be doing a hell of a lot of eating now that you’re home. Which I’m all about, even I feel like I should start pouting about having to share you. Annnnnd... the more time you spend with Dev, the more time Nia, Syd, and I have to work on our plan of finding a buying a house for all five of us to live in. Somewhere on this coast, of course. If I never see another snowstorm again, it’ll be too soon. I don’t miss those Philly winters not one bit, and I have no plans for living through another.” She had to suppress a groan at the thought of white winters and blistering cold. “We’re not going east,” Sydney promised, “I’ve already decided that I want our house to be near the beach, and there’s no point in being beach-adjacent if you don’t have beach weather year-round. With that decided, the rest is small details, like making up chore wheels and figuring out who gets afternoon cuddles with Gizmo.”
Sam groaned at the thought of snow and winter. Much as he enjoyed a cold day once in awhile, getting stuck in the monstrous blizzard on the east coast had given him enough of snow to last him through the next five years. "What, so this is a bad time to bring up my lifelong dream of moving to upstate New York, then?" He buoyed the teasing with a cheeky grin, only growing wider when their friends laughed. "You know, combining households could be an interesting idea but I'm also thinking about the amount of candy I'll find stashed all over the place and that's just...staggering. Y'all are gonna get us featured on Hoarders or something, keep that up. On the plus side, we'll be the coolest house come Halloween. And you can't go wrong with beach living." His gaze drifted out towards the water, quiet as it moved gently against the shore and Sam sighed deeply, his arm wrapping tighter around Senay. "It's a great view. Kinda missed it."
Senay giggled loudly, falling back against Sam’s chest. “All of the candy will be stored in a special candy pantry in the kitchen. We’ll keep it under control, and we’ll already have a stash prepared for Halloween,” Nia assured everyone, only inspiring more laughter from Senay. It felt too good, being in their little group, gathered around the fire and watching the water push and lap against the beach. She felt at ease, her eyes drifting up to Sam as she took him in, basking in the warmth of the sun and fresh air. “I missed you,” she told him, gently cupping her fiance’s chin to bring his gaze to her. “I’m so glad you’re home… Welcome back, Andrew.”
Just now getting around to going through my Halloween photos. Disco Halloween was a blast. I had my friends and my fanboy and the night was pretty much perfect. Slightly more fun than dragging my boo on a last-minute shopping adventure in search of the perfect belt to complete my outfit.

Senay’s shopping list was nearly complete. After the additions of bananas, a few seasonings they were running low on, and candy--which she always needed--she took one more look around the kitchen, peaking into the fridge and into several cabinets to see if anything else needed to be on the list. Leaving the kitchen behind, she spotted Sam and passed off the piece of paper for him to look over. “I think I got everything. But there might be something else you need that I didn’t think of. Now’s the time to confess any secret stash you’re hiding from me. I can help you shop for the goodies you don’t want to share...and eventually make you share them.” She smirked as brown eyes lingered on his lean form, briefly reminding her that she would never get used to not touching her fiancé, and that most of the time, the bet they still dragged on seemed like more of an annoyance than anything else. But she quieted the feeling by cutting short her staring session and making a move toward the door so they get started on their planned grocery gathering. “If you save us some money, maybe you’ll get a kiss out of this little shopping trip. I hope your bargain game is as good as you say.”

Sam It was another night holed up in his studio but this time, Sam had a plan. The evening was one for paints and canvas, working on a piece that he'd been fussing with for a few weeks. It still didn't look like much to look at, but served as a distraction while he waited for Senay to arrive. With the stereo playing, and a few paint streaks on his bare chest, he was setting a trap for his stubborn fiancee. Otis was crooning about cigarettes and coffee when he heard the front door open, and full lips twitched into a smirk because he knew Senay would eventually make her way to him, and he was totally ready to put his moves in action. Wiggling his hips to make sure his jeans were sitting at the appropriate level of inappropriate, he kept his gaze on the work in progress, his gaze pensive as he added the occasional strokes of blue to the swirl of colors.
Senay wiggled her way home while finishing up the last of her walk from work. The hills in the city were not to be trifled with, and she usually preferred driving to her part-time shifts at SPARK, but the last couple of weeks left her with extra energy that had to be expended somehow. Walking and biking to and from one of her jobs helped...a little. She was slow to remove her headphones when she sashayed in, only hearing the low music coming from somewhere else as she ventured through the house on her usual path of finding a place for her bag, glancing through the mail, and looking for Sam. She took her time getting to him, her mind wandering, choosing ways in which she could tease him tonight. She could always throw on one of his t-shirts, maybe pull up a filthy movie and take care of herself somewhere where he could both see and hear her... The planning was short-lived, coming to a stop when she found him in his studio, half-dressed, paint-covered, and looking particularly tempting. "Hello, Sammy..." she greeted sweetly, settling her shoulder against the doorway as she skeptically eyed him. "You look...busy."
Sam didn't turn around right away, though he did smile at the sound of her voice. Instead he flexed a bit, showing off broad back muscles while he stretched over the large canvas to dab a bit of paint on a bare spot. "Hey Junebug," he called out, eventually turning around and greeting her with a slow grin. "How was your day?"
Senay was hesitant to move any further into the room, especially after she watched Sam's show of stretching that highlighted the muscles carved into his lean form. "My day was fine. I poked around the office for the most part. We weren't too busy so I got to fill my afternoon with music and candy." Crossing her arms, she remained firm in her spot, her eyes moving to the canvas. "How are you? Have you been in here all day?"
Sam "Music and candy, sounds like a typical Senay day." Dropping the brush in a nearby mug, Sam wiped paint-covered hands on the worn denim of his jeans. "I'm doing alright. Been in here working for a good few hours. I was feeling inspired, so I decided to paint. But ehh...I don't know about this piece. Guess I'm not feeling as inspired about it right now. Might have to switch it up, jump start the creativity, you know?" Long fingers raked through blond locks and he offered her a cheeky grin. "What's my muse up to this evening? You workin' tonight?"
Senay chanced a walk into the room to get a better look at Sam's work. His talent never failed to impress her, a small lighting her face as she studied the unfinished piece. "I think it looks good so far. That burst of inspiration treated you well. I'm sure you can get it back, maybe find something else to focus on for a minute." Shaking her head, she looked up at Sam, beginning to question his smile but choosing to answer the question instead. "I'm in for the night. I was going to take Lark out for a walk but he doesn't look like he's in a hurry to move anywhere anytime soon. So I was just gonna get some dinner and chill. I can leave you to your work."
Sam crossed his arms. "Yeah, I'm thinking a different focus is the way to go. I already took Lark for his walk and he's been fed so yeah, he's good. If you're not too busy tonight, you wanna chill with me? Since you're free and all. I might need some assistance from my favorite lady this evening. If you're up for it, that is."
Senay was fine with checking an item off her list of things to do, glad that their pup was all taken care of. She couldn't spend the time on their walk plotting, but the change of plans was still welcome. "Well well... I guess that's one less thing I have to take care of. I've really got the night free now so I can totally be of assistance... I'm not sure how I would be, though. What exactly would I have to be up for?"
Sam "Oh yeah. I took care of it all. Even Gizzy went out for a little walk, though she had to be carried back." He laughed at that and stepped a little closer, enough to hover but keep his hands from reaching out to pull her to him. "Well darlin', I wanna start a new project. Fresh color palette, with a brand-spankin' new canvas. You. How about it, sweetheart? Strip down, spread you out, and see what kind of inspiration you pull outta me."
Senay laughed, "Of course she did. You call me spoiled, but Giz is something else." She tilted her head up to keep herself from staring at the dulling flecks of paint on his chest, brown eyes widening just a bit at his idea. He definitely had time to plot. Another laugh eased out along with a quick nod. "I should have known you had something brewing when I came home to this little scene you've set up here. I'm all for it, though. I'll lose the clothes and you can tell me where you want me."
Sam shrugged, because he most definitely spoiled his girl, but Gizmo had nothing on Senay. He wasn't gonna say that, because he was too busy enjoying her reaction to the proposition. Olive eyes were wide and innocent and he gave another shrug, though the crooked smirk he tried (and failed) to hide betrayed his other intentions. "Don't know what you're talkin' about. Maybe seeing you now, I coulda had a stroke of genius. But, anyway. I'll set up shop in the living room and you can meet me there, when you're ready. Bring a sheet with ya, babylove. Don't wanna make a mess on the floor."
Senay didn't believe a word he said about strokes of genius because it was all lies. She knew it, and the look she gave him let him know that she knew it. Still, she had no intention of backing out of the obvious set up. If nothing else, it'd be fun. "I'll be with you in a minute," she promised before turning on her heel to head upstairs. Undressing didn't take long, and once she grabbed a sheet from the linen closet, she was bouncing down the stairs in a small silk robe that she only wore while fanning out the light cover over the hardwood floor. Bare toes reached out to straighten a corner while thin fingers tugged the tie hanging loosely over her middle. "This almost feels like I'm posing nude for something," she mused. "That's something I've always wanted to do, but I think this'll be just as good." Her smile was bright as she let black silk slip over tan skin and meet the floor in a delicate pool. "How should I pose for you?"
Sam knew despite the flat, disbelieving look she'd tossed in his direction, she'd give in and that only made his grin wider. Thoroughly amused, he watched her slip from the studio to change and he saw to gathering the materials he'd need, carrying the case of body paints he'd picked up earlier from the store, and a new painter's palette, along with two mugs, one empty, and the other filled with clean brushes. Padding barefoot into the living room, Sam set the materials on the coffee table and moved to the kitchen to fill the empty mug with water. By the time Senay had returned, he was pulling out the small tubes of body paint from the case. Because staring was absolutely allowed in their bet (and because he was perfectly fine with Senay being aware of his less than gentlemanly thoughts), Sam took his time, letting his gaze linger on soft skin hidden under the silk robe. "Well I am a real arteeest, so yep. You're totally posing. And turning into art. Not that you're not already pretty as a picture." He backed his compliment with a silly smile and nodded once the sheet was down and her robe was off. Once again his stare was bold, eyes narrowed while taking in the slender curves he'd missed desperately. But he'd bite down on those feelings, especially if it meant teasing the hell out of her tonight. "On your back, Junebug" he told her, the command firm but friendly while he picked up the palette and started to dab on the assorted paints. "Arms up, shut your eyes, and just relax. I'll take care of the rest."
Senay preened beneath the praise, her smile warm. She took a moment to pose before she moved, a hand resting in the dip of her hip while she allowed Sam time to stare. She never did mind the way he looked at her, always feeling sexy and desired beneath his green-eyed gaze. Even now, it gave her goosebumps that she didn't want. "Okay, Mr. Arteeest, you can paint me as you see fit." Moving to sit, Senay made herself comfortable on the sheet, leaning back to lie against the cool floor and rest her arms above her head as instructed. "I'm not even going to ask if you went out and bought paint for today," she mumbled, closing her eyes then folding in her smile with a lick of her lips. "I'll let you keep pretending this was spontaneous."
Sam figured since her eyes were closed he didn't have to pretend to be shocked at her accusations, his chuckle deep and rumbling as he swiped his brush through the black paint on the palette. "Maybe the setting ain't, but what I create? That's all freestyle. Gonna take my time with this one. I wanna paint something worthy of the canvas I'm so blessed to be working on." With his earlier playlist continuing on his phone, he was ready. Sinking to his knees, Sam took the time to study her, long legs giving way to soft thighs, meeting the dip of slim hips and flat stomach. He could spend hours tracing the parts of her he loved best, and decided since he couldn't touch her, he'd let the paint do the talking. Just as slowly as the graze of his fingertips, Sam touched her skin with the tip of his brush, painting smooth and steady lines in no particular shape more than an outline of misshapen mosaic tiles. The pattern started at her torso, shapes fitting together like puzzle pieces, fanning out and covering her breasts. He bypassed her nipples to trace the same outline on her outstretched arms, leaving her face clean and clear, before moving further down to complete the black lines on her thighs and legs. Sitting back, he admired his work so far, marveling at the way she appeared to be a stain-glass picture come to life. "Now, the color." It'd been the first time he'd spoken since starting, with only the smooth sounds of Marvin playing in the background to break up the quiet. "What color should I use first, baby" he drawled, rinsing out the black from the first brush and grabbing a clean one. "You can pick the first one."
Senay hummed, "I know what you're trying to do with all that flattering. Keep it coming, it's cute." Lacing her fingers, Senay held as still as she could, anticipating the smooth glide of the soft brush that left tingles and shivers in its wake as he smoothed it over her skin. Unable to see and only feel the paths, she had no idea what Sam was painting. It was hard to care too much when the feeling was so enjoyable. She wanted to open her eyes, but she kept them closed, focusing on the music instead of the sighs she felt ready to let slip and allowing herself to be lulled into a brief state of relaxation that was interrupted when she heard that low rumble of his voice again. "Hm? Umm..." She swallowed, opening one eye as she made her decision. "I like purple. It looks good on me... You can start with that.”
Sam 's lips tugged into an easy grin. "Dunno what you're talkin' about, Junebug. I'm just talkin'." Grabbing the palette, he went for purple, taking a thinner brush to fill in the spaces outlined in the black paint. For the purple, he picked a spot below her belly button, carefully painting until the space above her mound was a deep violet. He filled in a few other spaces with the vibrant color, complimenting the rich golden color of her skin. Sam wasn't in any kind of rush, wanting her to savor the feeling, his strokes slow and deliberate while he painted and made a show of teasing her sensitive spots. The spot above her heart, he filled with green. It was his favorite color, and one of his favorite spots. Another favorite place, the silky patch of skin on her right hip went green, as well. With the brush, he coaxed her nipples into hard buds, painting brown peaks turquoise and yellow. The touch was light and steady, lingering long enough to make her squirm at the attention and Sam grinned again while he cleaned his brush and went for purple once more. "Lift your knees and spread your legs, babe. Gotta fill in the lines."
Senay "Yeah...just talking...won't even mention your obvious agenda...nope..." Choosing to remain quiet while Sam worked, she focused on keeping herself from curving into the soft caresses of his brush, her body eager for the soothing swipes that came in places Sam hadn't touched in far too long. She missed the attention, the emphatic kisses he would press to the tender spot at her hip and the teasing bites he would leave near her collar. His brushing only reminded her of what she couldn't have. Curiosity opened her eyes eventually as she lifted her head in time to catch a glimpse of yellow being swirled around the tip of her breast. She bit her lip then, failing to fight the light pulse between the thighs she pressed firmly together and had no intention of separating until he ordered her to do just that. "I don't think there's anything down there you need to paint..." Despite the very brief protest, she did as she was told, tented legs parting as she spread herself out further for him. Cool air between warm thighs inspired a soft gasp that settled into a moan before she folded in her lips again, sighing when she absently asked, "You know what this reminds me of?"
Sam paid no mind to Senay's protest, knowing she eventually follow through. The moan was unexpected, though, and he smiled at that before dipping his head and gripping his brush. The purple was put on hold for black, needing to finish the thick outline, taking it further down her inner thigh. The strokes there were short and feather light to tease the soft, sensitive skin until he reached the point where thigh met her warmth and he was close enough to touch her center if he wanted to. And he wanted. Always, but especially now, open and sweet as she was. Sam took a moment, exhaling slowly while switching brushes, using the long strokes in a teasing swirl to spread the colors, first purple, then blue. He heard her sigh, and the question that followed, but didn't respond just yet. Instead he pursed his lips and leaned in, mouth hovering above the crease of her thigh where he blew a slow, warm breath against her skin. "What does it remind you of, darlin'?" He knew she could feel the heat of his words, and the cool air he chased it with, under the guise of drying the paint. With one thigh completed, Sam turned his attention to the other, repeating his deliberate strokes of black and slowly filling in the colors and taking his time to dry each paint-swirled hue.
Senay would feel vulnerable with anyone else. But she was no stranger to offering herself to Sam, and trusted him completely with her body. He could have her right then, right there on the floor if he chose to give in. Wet paint be damned. The parts of her that were beginning to ache for him wouldn't complain about the ending of their bet. Unable to ease the throb his blowing urged on, she closed her eyes again, gripping her own clasped fingers. Her chest rose in a deep, steadying breath to calm the slight shakes of her legs and put a stop to the tilting of her hips that chased the air ghosting over her center. She could only half-focus on speaking thanks to the extra stimulation, her words breathy and slow. "I keep thinking about the first time we hooked up...that massage you gave me. You were allowed to touch me then--and you touched me a lot--but this still makes me think of that. You were a little hesitant when you touched me that first time... You warmed up quickly, though, and got to know me a little then, started chasing the sounds you liked...had me melting for you. It's was the most satisfying buildup." Creeping heat tinted her cheeks, a slow smile curving full lips. "Now you know me. You've got all my little spots memorized, and know that I'll make any sound you want if you just touch me in the right place..."
Sam enjoyed the restraint that tinged her speech, dragging out her words in that sweet, husky tone he loved so much. More than anything, giving her pleasure gave him a deep, shuddering thrill and he only stilled his hand to exhale slowly, resisting the natural inclination to press himself to her. Long fingers gripped his brush, curling around the thin tool to steady the strokes he painted along her calves. Though he wasn't looking at her face, Sam could hear her smile and it triggered his own and a quiet laugh. The first time he'd touch her, his hands held a tremble that excited him. One he hadn't felt with anyone in a quite some time. "It didn't take long, learnin' you. You let me see so much. I don't think you realized how open you were. Made it real easy to be comfortable. Nervous took a backseat after hearing you moan my name..." Sitting back on his knees, Sam took in the work he'd done so far, her front awash in a spectrum of vibrant hues, catching the light and shifting with the natural dip and curves of her body. "Beautiful...stand up, Junebug. Gotta get your back now."
Senay 's lips parted in another sigh as she remembered the beginning stages of their relationship and how all of it led to the two of them as they were now, tempting one another in their love-warmed space. "...Oh? I did want you to be comfortable, so that openness was for the best. I wouldn't have wanted you to feel any other way with me." When the brushing stopped, Senay opened her eyes, carefully sitting up to get an eyeful of Sam's work. She had to smile at the spots of color decorating her form, outlined in black so the brightness of each could be seen clearly. With a few gingerly movements, she was on her feet again, raising a hand to tuck away a loose braid that escaped her topknot. "How much of me are you painting, sir?"
Sam "You make me feel real comfortable," he assured her. "Always have. I love that about you." Sam grabbed his palette and stood up, trading the paint-covered brushes for fresh ones and mixing a little more black to continue his outlines. His steps were careful, making a small circle as he inspected his 'canvas' from all angles, tapping the brush against his bottom lip. "Can't leave you all unfinished, can I?" he replied with a smirk. "You were right about switching it up, babylove. I'm feeling real inspired by piece. Arms out." Moving to her back, he worked on the thick outlines, long, continuing strokes of black spreading out from her shoulders and traveling lower to the curve of her butt. He was careful to push her fallen braid to the front with the other end of his brush, not wanting to get paint on her hair. With the pattern complete, he was able to fill in the colors, painting her in swirls of orange, navy, and red. As with the front, his hand was just as steady, his technique teasing, and his gaze intense. Sinking to his knees, Sam took his time, brush dipping into the small of her back and riding the curve of a golden cheek that he boldly painted with patches of gold, turquoise and purple. "Spread your legs," he told her while his hand found her inner thigh once more, lingering while his brush claimed another favorite spot, a sensitive patch of skin near her center. Sam folded his lips in at the urge to nibble her, knowing some attention would have her knees weakening but he resisted, settling instead for drying the paint with a slow, cool exhale. "Almost finished, baby."
Senay eyes followed Sam as he moved around her until she could no longer see him. "I'm glad you were able to get your inspiration back. If all I have to do is lie around while you tease me with paint brushes, I can help whenever." Arms out, Senay relaxed with a deep breath, giggling at the tickling strokes along the back of her body. She couldn't see the colors Sam chose this time, but she could feel him following the curves of her form, likely taking his time to ensure that the back of her would be just as neatly painted as the front. It was easier to hold still this time while he worked, and it wasn't until she moved her legs apart that staying in place became a challenge. His lingering between her thighs triggered a clench in her core. He really did know her body... At least she didn't moan this time, even if her fists clenched and her toes curled just a little. "I think you should hurry up..." she warned, her head lolling to one side. "I'm sure the paint can dry without all your blowing."
Sam 's laugh was warm against her skin and he slipped from between her thighs to stand. He knew exactly what he was doing, thoroughly pleased at her reaction, the unmistakable tension in her legs and hands, and the tight tone of her warning. With the pattern complete down to her ankles, Sam concentrated his efforts on her front, touching up the colors near her wrists and neck. "The paint can dry in these other areas," he explained, olive eyes focused on a spot of indigo on her collarbone that started to run. Swift, soft strokes cleaned up the paint and he leaned in to dry the blue with a light puff of air. "Won't take long. But where it's warmer and the spots are tucked away, the paint will never dry." His gaze met hers then, as his brush danced from her collar to the curve of her neck and the underside of her jaw, paint covered fingers gripping tighter to the handle. "It's the heat, Seline. Keeps it real wet. Don't want it to smudge now, do we?"
Senay breathed a little easier when Sam changed his position. She didn't need to be tempted by having him so close to touching one of the places where she wanted him most. It was easier to ignore the faint pulses between her legs when his efforts were focused on other parts of her. Her arms and wrists were safe areas, and gave her time to collect herself until he was smoothing paint along her collar. When he hovered above her again, she could have reached out for him. And she wanted to. Badly. But stubbornness and wet paint kept her from doing so, even when she tore her eyes from his heavy gaze and landed on his chest to spot the tattoo dedicated to her. He'd gotten it weeks ago, and it killed her just a little knowing that she hadn't taken the time to properly appreciate the ink. She owed it kisses and light traces and...shit, he was close, his voice deep and claiming her full attention. "Right..." she breathed. "No smudging. Wouldn't want to ruin all your hard work. But I know for sure some parts aren't ever going to dry. All that paint you put between my legs doesn't stand a chance, Andrew. My pussy's wet and I'm going to have a rainbow coating my thighs by the time you're done."
Sam licked his lips, and dipped his head, mouth hovering at Senay's jawline when he concentrated on a patch of orange. He might have been purposely teasing the spot near her ear but he was going for another moan and was sure this was the place to find one. "I could offer to get on my knees and take care of that problem," he suggested, voice deep and playful as he hovered. "But I think it'd be a great addition to the piece." He let the clean brush wander then, smoothing over her body in those same deliberate strokes. Soft bristles dawdled around her breasts, teasing paint-covered nipples with a smile that was absolutely shameless. "It's not supposed to be perfect, but striking. Meant to be handled...touched...gripped. The colors are gonna run eventually. That's the real art, babe." Back on his knees, Sam left the brush at her right hip, his favorite spot marked in green and he met her gaze with a muted moan. "Just beautiful."
Senay 's head tilted to allow Sam more room, dark eyes fluttering closed at the swipes against the sensitive spot beneath her ear. The moan she tried to swallow eased out, a soft whimper coasting past her lips. His little art project wasn't supposed to feel this good, and his offer combined with the brushes over taut breasts earned him a pointed look. She had more sass all lined up until he was speaking again and moving to his knees. Though she caught every word, all she took away from the spiel was that it didn't matter if his perfectly painted patches got ruined. In the spirit of "real art" and steadily rising desire, she allowed an arm to fall to her side, her hand continuing to move until she could cup her warmth. "I like the way you think," she cooed all husky and sweet because she was warm and throbbing and could barely stand the feeling, fingers lightly brushing the silver ball settled near her clit. "Can you finish while I handle myself? I can really make these colors run, baby, add something pretty to your work."
Sam 's gaze narrowed at her wandering hands and that sweet voice she put on, all sugar and deception. Quick as he could, he rapped the end of his brush to her knuckles in a firm swat and got to his feet. "You're the canvas, Seline. And that's betraying my artistic integrity." Tucking the brush behind his ear, Sam stepped back and assessed his work with a nod. "Besides. I'm all finished here. You can make those colors run on your own, since you're so keen on handling it yourself." He refused to be teased with his own artwork, a small grunt slipping out when he felt a deep twinge beneath the denim. A bold hand cupped the front of his jeans as he adjusted himself and traded his palette for his phone, swiping it from the coffee table and snapping a single picture of her. "For my portfolio. Easily one of my favorite pieces."
Senay thought to give Sam a good flick, but that would likely count as touching and she wasn't about to lose their bet on a technicality. She glared instead, shaking off his scolding with a twist of her wrist as she rested her hand at her side again. "I'm only taking care of it myself because my fiancé refuses to touch me. Even though he's allowed to do so whenever, and however he pleases." Catching the low sound he pushed out and the readjusting that went along with it, she couldn't resist a little more teasing. "You're portfolio...mhm...you just let me know when they're going to put me in the MoMA." Allowing a hand to return between her thighs, she eyed Sam, a smirk tilting her lips. "Since you're all done with me, I'm going to make my rainbow right here. You're welcome to watch if you'd like. In fact, I think you should absolutely watch. That's what this piece is all about, right? Handling...touching...gripping... I can do that." Sam gave her a pointed look. "He might be allowed, but he's not gonna. Few sweet words and some teasing ain't enough for me to break, Seine." He was bluffing, of course. And he was sure she knew that, but he was shameless enough not to care. He didn't see the point of pretending he didn't want her, especially when it was better to flaunt his want, with words and glances. Her offer warranted some consideration and he stalled a bit, pretending to mull it over while packing up his paints and dropping the dirty brushes into the water filled mug. "Hmm. That's a mighty nice offer, Seline. Since it's my piece and all, I suppose I should oversee the next stage. Tell you what...I'll stay, under one condition. You can touch yourself, but only how I say, and when I say. Think you can handle that, sweetheart?" Senay shrugged, still smirking, "Oh, absolutely, Andrew. I know your will is oh so very strong when it comes to me." Slender fingers toyed with her piercing while Sam thought about her idea and eventually countered with one of his own. The curves of her hips shifted as she moved her weight from one foot to the other, her head dipping in a quick, accepting nod. "I can handle that. It's pretty much the next best thing to having you actually touch me." She dropped her hand again, immediately missing the little flicks as she waited for his first command, asking, "Where do I start?" Sam didn't care for that smirk or tone, and he was sorely tempted to tap her with the paintbrush again, but he settled for sitting on the edge of the coffee table, forearms braced on his thighs. "Lie down. Knees up but keep them pressed together. I want you to tease your nipples first. Smudge those colors a little before you work your way down. Make it real good, sweetheart. I know you're eager to put on a show."
Senay gave a little salute before she sank to the ground, positioning herself in the middle of the sheet with her legs tented. Her pace was slower when it came to following the rest of Sam's instruction, small hands trailing in gentle grazes up her torso in a path through the field of colors decorating her body. There was no rush, and she was certainly a fan of a good tease. She palmed her breasts at first, gasping at the pressure against sensitive buds before she backed up, tracing the length of her digits over each stiff peak. The tips of her fingers moved in circles around her breasts then, delicately smoothing in swirls that ended with her nipples. Giving the paint-tinted tips a squeeze, she squirmed, her back arching as she moaned for him.
Sam let his gaze follow the path her hands made, little fingers traveling over brightly stained skin to tease painted peaks. The outline smudged a bit under teasing grazes, black mixing with the indigo and Sam was momentarily transfixed by the subtle blend and the moans that slipped out. Full lips twitched into a smirk at the arch of her back and he waited a beat before giving his next command. "Move your hand lower. Just one. Press it to your pussy, but don't slip any fingers in. Just grind, darlin'. Palm pressed against that pretty piercing...won't be long 'til those colors start running."
Senay bit her lip at the sound of his voice and smoothed a hand away from her chest toward her lower half, stopping to press against the green spot at her hip before she slipped between her legs. Tan limbs parted just enough to allow room for her hand and the bent fingers she cupped over her mound. Her hips curved without thought, chasing the brushes that made her core throb. "Like this?" she asked, the question no more than a whimper as she settled into the fluid rolls of her hips that were beginning to wet her fingers with her essence.
Sam "Just like that, Seline" his response almost distracted, he was so caught up in her display. Sam licked his lips while his focus shifted to the gentle rock of her hips, humping against the pressure he knew wasn't enough. But he wasn't ready to give her more, not yet. Not when her whimpers called to him, urging more of the teasing he was so ready to give. That alone was enough for him to shift from the coffee table and to the floor, lean form settling beside her, not enough to touch, but close enough to hover, his moan rumbling in her ear while he propped himself up on his elbow. "Mmm...spread your legs, baby. Wanna see my masterpiece. You're already dripping. Soaked the sheets and made a mess of that pretty pussy. Feels good though, right? Slick enough for you to slip some fingers inside. I love the way you feel when I first touch you. Melt like warm sugar, all over my fingers. So wet you leave a puddle when you're riding 'em. But that ain't happening. Just keep grinding. I know it's enough to make you come, but not until I say, remember? Til then, I'll just keep talking." His lips curved into a wicked while he watched her thighs for the telltale tremble. "My good girl. We're gonna do this all night."
Senay closed her eyes, unaware of Sam's change in position until she could feel him settling nearby. Chancing a glance at him, she kept up those heady moans, caught beneath his darkened stare. At his command, her legs separated, falling apart to reveal a beautifully bright mess of smeared, running colors. The more he spoke--his low timbre torturous and teasing--the harder her hips worked. The once controlled movements melted into a desperate grind that would eventually be enough to send her over the edge. Eventually, being the key word. The pressure from the heel of her palm wasn't enough for immediate relief of the tension tightening in her middle, and with Sam so close, sharing filthy words, she wanted nothing more than to let him take over while she nestled into her favorite place in the curve of his neck to release wanton sounds against his skin instead of into the air. "Andrew...please..." she breathed, passing her tongue over her lips to quell a sob. "Don't you want me to come for you? It's been so long, baby. Let me have it."
Sam feigned disinterest with a long, drawn out sigh. Though it was difficult to maintain that composure with those breathy sounds going straight to his dick. There was a deep twinge and he shifted slightly and biting back a moan of his own. He watched the colors shift, painted pigment moving with the graceful arch of her body and if he lifted his head high enough, he could see the paint already running, the heated space between her thighs no doubt sticky and colorful. Dark blond locks fell into his eyes when he shook his head and he pushed back the stubborn hair, his smile lingering at the sweet sounds of Senay's pleading. "Nope. Don't want you to come for me. I wanna be the one who makes you come. The only fingers dippin' inside that treat tonight are mine. You want 'em, babylove...all you gotta do is let me know. Tell me you want me. Otherwise, keep grindin' just like that. Maybe with a little more shakin', I'll think about letting you get off."
Senay could only hold the glare she flashed at her fiancé for a few seconds. He was being awful. Incredibly so, and though giving in would have been the easiest option and would have granted her the high she was chasing, his unaffected attitude wasn't appreciated. In an act of defiance, she slowed her hips, only lifting to press her soaked center against her palm intermittently. It was torture, but she could stand the leisurely rock better than the desperate jerks that weren't getting her where she needed to be quickly enough considering the pace. Slow was better. She could calm her want, breathe deeper, glare at Sam some more... "I do want you," she admitted, passing lazy fingers over her breast to continue toying with her nipple. "I've wanted you every day for the past three weeks. But..." a sigh interrupted her words, a little purr parting her lips, "I'm not touching you, my sweet Sammy. You can touch me, though...and you can lose. Either way, I'm going to come tonight, even if I have to go upstairs and finish the job myself because you can't."
Sam ate up that glare. He knew this back and forth of teasing would go on all night, stubborn as they were. His smile eased into a pleased smirk watching Senay's attempts to steady herself and he sighed when she did. "Don't need to touch me, sweetheart. I'll handle that later. I wanna touch you, but here we are, at that impasse. I had plans, babylove. Not just with my hands but my mouth too. I know you love it, when I press my lips to yours, light and soft right when slip inside. Mmm...that first taste of you, when you're clenching tight around my dick lets me know how much you want it. Like the warmest, wettest, welcome home. First time I felt that, felt you come and shake against me, sighing my name and squeezing around me...I knew I'd always want it. Always want you. Ain't about 'can't'. We both know with just a word I'd make a mess of you and those colors all fuckin' night. But you're being stubborn, so....keep grindin'." With a shuddering breath he palmed at the front of his jeans. It was a brief touch, just enough to clear his head to get through his task of teasing her, but he didn't spare his moans, pushing out the deep sounds. "I wanna come with you pinned under me but since that ain't happening, I'm gonna take this upstairs." It took a great deal of willpower to get to his feet but Sam managed with a grunt. He'd worry about the brushes and cleanup later; his head was much too clouded with thoughts of having her, only pride stopping him from giving in to what they both wanted.

Sam held tightly to Senay's hand as they breezed through the crowd lining up to spend ridiculous amounts of money for a bottles of water, thankful they'd brought their own water to the festival. Manchester was hot and muggy, but Sam was used to the fickle Tennessee weather, though it was tough to remind himself to stay hydrated when there was so much to explore. Between the various arts and entertainment stations set up, and merchandise offered, it was hard to believe they even had music to focus on. So much music. He was in artist overload since Friday and loving every minute of it. They'd caught My Morning Jacket earlier that morning, danced through a killer and infectious set from Childish Gambino and Sam was still full of energy and ready to explore while waiting for Senay to decide who was next on their schedule. Giving her hand a small squeeze, he smiled down at his fiancee. "What are you in the mood for now, Junebug? We can catch an indie flick at the cinema, dance at the day disco, play some games in the Backyard...what's catching your fancy?"
Senay stuck close to Sam until they were out of the thick mass of bodies they passed through. Letting go of his hand for a moment, she looked between the schedule she kept in her pocket and the time that flashed when she pressed a button to illuminate her cell phone. Looking over the acts coming up in the next couple of hours, D'Angelo looked most promising. The weekend so far had been of discovery for Senay, introductions to artists that were new to her and opportunities to see ones--like D'Angelo--that weren't, and she was excited for more time filled with dancing and singing along. "We've got a few hours until the D'Angelo and the Vanguard set," she told Sam, tucking away schedule and phone before taking up his hand again. "We can go play a few games until then, and find something else to eat because I feel like it'll be time for another sneak break soon." With bouncing steps, Senay led the way to the sponsored tent they weren't far from, eventually hearing the music and seeing the people in small crowds engaging in games. There were hula hoops, oversized Jenga blocks, bubbles, temporary tattoo stations, and all sorts of other things she wanted to get her hands on. "Where should we start? Part of me wants to kick your butt in Jenga buuuut I also want to blow bubbles..."
Sam shook his head, laughing at her competitive spirit already kicking in. "See, this is why I can't take you anywhere. You'll probably cheat at Jenga like the Cheater McCheaterson you are, so I'm gonna go with blowing bubbles. And then get some tattoos in the treehouse. Think you need to add a few more to the bunch." He poked her side and tugged her towards the bubble station, where plenty of big kids like them were busy grabbing giant wands and waving them around. There were small wands and bottles , but Sam opted for one of the bubble guns, filling the well with the soapy liquid. "I'm sure you're all about the big wands and getting your dance on. I swear some of those bubbles are as big as your head." The bubble gun was wily, and Sam was thoroughly enjoying his bit of youthful nostalgia, watching the stream of thick, soapy bubbles catch the slight wind and float into the air.
Senay 's lips pursed at the pure slander coming from the man she had to tilt her head up to get a good look at. "I don't cheat, and I would appreciate it if you stopped spreading lies about me. I'm trying to have fun and be free. Don't make me fight you. We can wrestle in the grass if necessary." Senay was quick to take up a wand and dip it into the kiddie pool sized tub of bubble soap. Starting slow, she gave the star shaped stick a swipe through the air, giggling at the trail of bubbles it left behind. It didn't take long before she was moving, skipping around and crossing paths with another spirited adult who doubled her flurry of bubbles and brought out more of that carefree laughter. Refilling her wand before she moved to circle Sam, she couldn't help but tease as she produced another huge bubble. "That bubble gun is looking a little lackluster, babe. Big bubbles are where it's at."
Sam shrugged because he had zero intention to take it back. "All I'm saying is, you wouldn't be that mad if it wasn't true. Stop acting like we didn't go bowling together. I know your tricks, Seine." Between firing his bubble gun like a blaster (complete with sound effects), he couldn't help but watch his beautiful cheater of a Junebug prance around with her bubble wand. Her smile was infectious, and her giggles were drawing a few onlookers but Sam figured that was just part of the territory, being cute and all. He wasn't going to relate that to her, lest she deny said cuteness and scowl at him for ruining her so-called thug appeal. Besides, he appreciated how carefree she was in the moment and dancing around him. For her sass though, he turned up the dial on the gun and sent a few larger bubbles her way. "I'm fine with the size of my bubbles, ma'am. They're getting the job done. You just keep prancing." Senay "You are full of so many lies. They must really weigh you down, baby. I play to win, that's all." Small hands swatted at the stream of bubbles Sam sent in Senay's direction, and she followed up with a glare and pat to his behind then returned to her work of filling the yard with bubbles. The gentle, amused smiles from the strangers she noticed watching her amounted to far too much attention for the time being and she bit her lip to dim an embarrassed smile as she fanned out the last of the soap clinging to her wand for a few more bubbles, placing it back into the pool when she was finished. "When you're ready, Star-Lord, we can move onto something else. I'm ready to get some temporary ink. I was thinking, your name could probably go riiiiight," she tugged her top aside a bit to tap at the exposed skin just above her heart, "here." Sam shook his head, even as he attempted to dodge the swat to his butt. "Sounds like the words of a cheater. What is the call of your people...'Cheater, cheater pumpkin eater'? Something like that." It was hard to keep up his teasing, not when she was referencing one of his favorite characters and talking about tattoos in one of his favorite spots. Sam dropped the gun on the table and dropped a small kiss to her forehead, his lips tugging into a warm grin. "That's my girl. Marvel references and my name on your ta-ta? You do play to win." The tattoo "parlor" was in the treehouse, a raised wooden platform decorated to look like a little kid's outdoor dreamhouse, complete with a flat screen television for viewing and a juice bar. The line wasn't too long, so Sam was cool with waiting, figuring he needed the extra time to pick out a good tattoo anyway. "So I was thinkin' I'd get a little decoration for the ol' gun show," he told Senay, flexing a large bicep with an exaggerated robot noise. "Something that adds a little pizzazz. What d'you think, sweetheart?"
Senay would hear no more of this cheater nonsense. So what if maybe she did--from time to time--attempt to tilt things to her advantage? Playing was always more fun if she could win and perform the victory dances she spent time practicing. He could hush. Still, she accepted his kiss, knowing that he'd appreciate her tattoo idea. "Something told me you'd like alla that. Don't think I'd mind being decorated with your name for the day." Following along to the treehouse and finding her place in line beside him, she had to laugh at his adorable, yet impressive sound effects as she reached out to give his muscle a squeeze. "That's a good spot, so long as you get something tough and stereotypically manly. Like a battleship or a power tool or a bear or..." raising an arm, she flexed her own, far less toned arm, showing off her ink, "An anchor is always good. You could also go the totally opposite route and get like a cupcake or something. What are you in the mood for? This tattoo is going to be with you for the rest of the day." Sam flexed a little more for her and whistled appreciatively at her own arm tattoo. "Well I won't steal your shine, Popeye. Think I might go for something cool yet real subtle. A real conversation piece." A cupcake or battleship wasn't on the roster, but Sam liked the idea of a little bit of silly in his washable ink. So, he opted for teddy bear. Not just any bear, but one of his favorites. The artist at the station chuckled at the choice but Sam was a good sport about it and soon, he was showing off his brand new Winnie the Pooh temporary ink, doing his best to make the famed stuffed bear dance on his arm. "What d'you think, Junebug? It feels like me? I'm ready to show this baby off around festival."
Senay smirked, making a show of kissing her bicep before she lowered her arm again. "That's alright. Not everyone can handle this level of manliness. I just so happen to have what it takes." At first, Senay didn't have much to say as she watched the artist decorate Sam's arm, but once she realized just where things were going, it became a challenge to hold in her comments. A challenge yes, but not impossible as she folded in her lips and decided not to say anything until he was finished. The bear was cute as hell, to say the least, and she knew it would provide her with plenty of ammo to tease him all day. Her smile was wide as she watched him toying around with the temporary ink, "That isn't manly at all, babe. But I love it. It suits you. You sure as hell are the sweetest, cuddliest, sweet-thing-lovingest bear I know. Plus, you've always got your fingers sticky..." Taking her turn in the chair, Senay stuck to her original idea, getting Sam's name in a neat script over her chest. In addition, she opted for a touch of highlighting over the flamingo already adorning her thigh that made her favorite, pink and purple tattoo even brighter than it already was. "I think I'm good to go now. I got my flamingo all brightened up, I've got some thighs to show off." Sam loved seeing her being so open and silly. He didn't even mind the teasing about his Winnie tattoo, focusing on her smile and ignoring all those comments about him being cuddly and sweet (though he couldn't exactly hide the red tinge to his ears). Sam did manage a brow wiggle at the sticky of all and laughed at the accuracy. "Can't help it if I'm all about the sweet things. Your sweet thang..." Satisfied with his level of cheeseball, Sam waited while Senay got her ink on, smiling a bit when she added a bit a sheen to her flamingo tattoo. "Those thighs are a favorite of mine, and they're lookin' mighty fine today. Let's go strolling until D'Angelo starts. You wanna grab some snack and chill on the grass? I'm sure we can find a nice spot before the show."
Senay rolled up the legs of her shorts to really show off the decor on each of her thighs. "A snack sounds good. I need to fuel up before I start up my dancing again." The festival was full of food vendors. Desserts, fried this and that, and the usual fair fare as well as a mix of local favorites. Her stomach growled at the possibilities as they walked along, eyes landing on signs and attempting to decide what would fill her up but still leave her with enough energy to keep enjoying the festival. The last thing she wanted was to need a good nap and belly rub before she could do anything else. "I definitely want fries," she shared, pointing out a stand that served the fried potatoes loaded with a variety of toppings. "I could also go for like a really good hot dog. And something sweet after all of that. I think that'll be enough to get me through the rest of the day. What are you lookin' to eat?"
Sam patted his stomach in an effort to silence the hunger growl, because fries were being discussed and those sounded great. "I had a feeling something sweet would be the case with you. I dunno what I'm in the mood for, but I figure I'll know by the time we're ready to order." There was no shortage of choices in food at the festival, almost as overwhelming as the music options, but Sam figured the food trucks were the best place to start. There was a little bit of everything, but eventually he settled on bacon cheese fries and a beer. "I'm gonna steal a piece of whatever sweet thing you're eatin', ma'am" he told Senay after paying for their lunch. "Just think of it as me, helping you out. The less food you eat, the less tired you'll be for D'angelo."
Senay side-eyed Sam's logic for a second before returning to the all-important task of figuring out what she wanted to eat. "I'm not sure how that'll work. The sweet thing is probably what will give me the most energy, so I probably shouldn't share at all." In the end, she decided to skip the hot dog, going for a cinnamon sugar soft pretzel, pink lemonade, and the decision to share Sam's fries whether he planned to give her some or not. Food in hand, she forged a path toward the grass where others were settled and eating, finding a place for them to sit between a couple tossing candy at each other and a makeshift drum circle that seemed to be breaking up. She stuck closer to the couple and made herself and her food comfortable in the grass after offering a quick hello. "If anyone should be sharing anything, it should be you, Cowboy. You've got enough fries to feed a small country. I'll be happy to take some of those off your hands."
Sam, food in hand, followed Senay to the grassy clearing where others were already picnic-ing it up and relaxing. The spot boasted a really good view of the stages, so Sam was pretty content while they settled near a few folks who seemed around their age. Olive eyes narrowed at Senay, and Sam, sitting cross-legged with his beer nestled in the space between, shielded his large basket of fries from his lady with one hand while plucking a couple cheesy, bacon-y pieces off the top with the other. "How are you gonna commandeer my food and not share yours? What kinda nonsense..." His question earned a few chuckles from their nearby neighbors and Sam made a show of eating his fries loudly, smacking his lips and rubbing his stomach. "Mmm. I won't lie, Junebug...they're mighty delicious. Must be the cilantro..."
Senay sipped her lemonade and glared at her fiancé. "I'd be willing to share some of my pretzel with you. I'm just not going along with your logic of thinking my sugary treat isn't good for my energy levels. You go ahead and eat all those fries, I'm not rubbing your belly later when you're too full to move." Shaking her head, she angled her body away from Sam, tossing a smile at the pretty dark-haired girl next to her who gave Senay a small nudge and kind offer. "If the baskets are that big, you're welcome to share a few of ours," she said, gesturing between herself and the equally pretty girl she was with. "Our boyfriend went off to get us each a basket. I'd be glad to share with you and your cute little flamingo." Senay quickly flashed a triumphant smirk at Sam before turning back to her new friends. "That's real nice of you. I'm all for ditching him to join the three of you. He can have his whole basket of fries."
Sam "You know I don't mind sharing, but you ain't gonna act like that was the plan all along. Someone said she was getting her own fries. Which is the only reason I got mine. Don't try to play me in front of these nice folks." Despite his sassy words he wasn't serious at all, wiping his hands on a napkin and shaking his head at his fiancee before smiling at the other women. "Don't let that cute face fool y'all. She is a serious food thief. Nothing is safe. You don't happen to have candy on your person, do you? Because she will find it, and charm it right outta your pockets. It's a talent." His grin grew wider when the two ladies giggled at his silliness and he leaned in to give Senay's side a gentle poke. "Ain't that right, Junebug?"
Senay "No one is trying to play you. You should share with me no matter what." She hid her laugh with a bite of her pretzel, taking her time to chew and swallow the mouthful because she was almost set on not addressing any of those lies being told about her. She swatted Sam's hand away from her middle, and scooted just a bit farther away. "These nice folks are called Sydney and Nia." Another brown finger identified the girls, with Sydney being closest to Senay and allowing for an easy handshake and introduction that covered both she and Sam while Nia piped up. "And we'd like to see her candy charms in action. We've got Skittles, Starburst, Swedish Fish and whatever else my packrat of a girlfriend can tug out of her bag." Senay grinned at the teasing, more than ready to earn the bag of Skittles being dangled in front of her. "I wouldn't want to steal away any of your candy," she insisted in her sweetest voice. "But, you see, my Cowboy he loooves Skittles kisses and I feel like it'd only be right to offer him a few of those in exchange for a few fries. I'm sure two kind souls like yourselves would want to help me out."
Sam nodded in greeting to both ladies and attempted another round of poking to his fiancee's side, heading straight for the ticklish spots because he didn't care for that Skittles kisses business at all. "It figures you'd meet the two other candy hoarders in a sea of thousands. Ladies, I thought y'all were cool. Don't feed those sugar habits. She still hasn't shared her pretzel with me, I'd like to add." Sydney shook her head, her smile bright and pleasant as she eyed Sam. "You are something else." The blond returned her smile with a good-natured grin. "I've been told that before, yeah." He curled an arm around Senay's middle and gently tugged her into his lap and set the basket of fries in hers with a raspberry to her cheek. "Fries now, skittles in a bit. Just as long as you share your pretzel with me." Sam settled for sipping his beer and stealing a few of his own fries from the container, though he did glance up when a tall man approached, brown skin and bearded and carrying an armload of food that he passed to Nia with a grin. "Sorry about the wait," he apologized. "The line was crazy long. You busted out the candy stash?" Sydney nodded and tossed the bag of Skittles over to Senay, making Sam sigh dramatically. "Those are for our new friends. Senay and Sam, this is our boyfriend and bearer of the fry basket, Deval." Sam gave a friendly smile and shook the man's hand as he joined the group on the grass. "Nice to meet you, man. I'm afraid my lady's been hustling for candy."
Senay laughed, "Quit with the damn pokes, I'll share my pretzel." She didn't protest when Sam took hold of her, happy to make herself comfortable in the new position, especially since the change in seat came with fries. Tugging cheesy bacony sticks from the basket kept her satisfied enough until she got the candy she wanted, too. Now she was beaming, offering a wave and close-lipped smile to Deval because her mouth was too full to speak right away. "She looks like the hustlin' type. Sweet face, she probably does a little voice when she wants something real bad." Deval's observations sent a wave of laughter through the group, causing his thick eyebrows to raise in surprise. "I knew it. You're just like Syd, she's all cute faces and batting eyelashes when she's trying to get things to go her way. Terrible." Sydney only shrugged, proud of her ways as she began to fill up on fries. Senay joined in the shrugging, wiping cheesy fingers with a napkin. "You have to do what you have to do to get your way sometimes. My Pooh Bear here likes to tease me by denying me shit he knows I'm after." Nia nodded, "I know how that goes. These two, last week, were arguing over cake. We were at this place in San Fran--The Cake Gallery--that makes these custom adult cakes and we were getting one as a gag for a friend. Syd really really wanted one shaped like her bum because she's got a fantastic ass. But D kept suggesting all these other cakes just to mess with her. Long story short, she got what she wanted and all she had to do was pout a bit. That damn face of hers is like magic."
Sam was just happy he (somewhat) got his way, and he nodded at Deval's spot-on assessment of his sneaky girl. "Oh yeah, that's definitely her. Like I know she's playing me, can spot the con a mile away but something about that little voice..." He sighed, dramatic and weary before continuing, earning him another round of laughter. "...Gets me every time. I can't say no to that face. Though I do like to resist once in awhile, just to shake things up. I see you two know that pain." Sydney's reaction only made him grin, because Senay definitely did that same little shrug, knowing everyone else would just bend to her whim eventually." So engrossed he was in the story about the adult cake, it didn't dawn on him right away that Nia had mentioned San Francisco but eventually it clicked and olive eyes widened in surprise. "Hold up. Did you say San Fran? The Cake Gallery, on 9th Street?" Nia nodded around a mouthful of fries, and Sydney passed her a napkin before smiling at Sam. "Yeah, the very one. It's not too far from our place." Sam shook his head, completely amused. "What a small world. We're from San Fran. We live in the Haight." Sydney laughed. "Get out. Really? We're over in Nob Hill. That's like, not even twenty minutes away. Seriously, small world. Now I know you aren't from San Fran, dropping all those 'y'alls', though." Sam shook his head while he stole a piece of Senay's pretzel. "Nah, I was born and raised in Tennessee. Memphis. Senay's from Philly. We met in Ohio, moved out to San Fran with a bunch of our friends and we ended up getting together. Damn. This is pretty cool."
Senay pressed her lips to Sam's neck in a brief kiss before giving his skin a playful nip, amused by his brief moment of overdramatics. "There's no pain involved. Things are better for everyone when I get what I want. That's it." Leaning against Sam's chest, brown eyes lit up at Nia's story and the realization that their new acquaintances were also San Fran residents. She nodded along to the details Sam provided, adding, "That really is cool, us traveling all this way just to meet people from our city. Hell, I was only here for food and music. Our decision to come to the festival was kinda random, too." Deval spread out his legs, leaning back on his hands after polishing off most of his fries. "I dig it, that's the universe at work. Like, we're all from different states, too, ended up in Cali for different reasons, met each other around town, and here we are now a couple of years later." His kisses were quick to the girls he sat between, all three left beaming from the tender gesture, and Senay had to smile, too. "Damn, I thought we were cute," she teased. "You three might have us beat." Sydney shook her head, "We're a little cute, yeah. But we just all love one another. That's the long and short of it."
Sam landed a playful pop to Senay's thigh, his hand lingering to trace the familiar lines of her flamingo tattoo while she chatted. It really was interesting, watching the trio interact, how tender they were with one another, the level of laidback vibing well with Sam and Senay's. "My fiancee's an expert on cute, so I'm gonna have to agree with that assessment." Nia, who was busy on a hunt for Starburst stopped to glance at the pair, smiling happily. "Fiancee? That's so cute. How long have you been together?" Sam had to think back for a moment. "Officially? Been about...a year and some change. Two or three months. The engagement, well she sorta proposed first. And then I figured if she's gonna saddle herself with a big ol' nerd, I'd better get her something pretty for her trouble. So her ring came a few months later. And then here we are." He nuzzled her cheek and pressed a small kiss to her temple, unable to hide his grin (or the reddened tips of his ears). "She's my Skittles-eating, fries stealing, slice of sunshine."
Senay proudly flashed her ring, wiggling her fingers to show off the black stone she wore every day. Sam's sweetness was nothing new, but she still found herself warning at the reminder of his love for her. It never got old, hearing him talk her up to anyone who would listen. "My big ol' nerd has good taste in jewelry so that's more than enough reason to keep him around. And maybe I kind of dig the nerd thing...like a whole lot. I can't see myself with anyone else." Tilting her head up, she noticed the red tint shading Sam's cheeks and she just had to kiss him, slow and soft and finishing off with an, "I love you," that was quiet against the sudden eruption of the crowd that roared in response to activity on the stage. Sydney pressed a hand over her chest, aww-ing at the couple's display. "I see a double date in our future. Something. Anything, really. We've all gotta get together once we get back out west. Seriously, Senay and I have tips to trade and the rest of you can practice your ineffective denial of our desires. It'll be fun."
Sam leaned into the kiss with a hum, parting only to whisper 'I love you, too' and while he was ready to bury his face in Senay's sweet smelling braids at the thought of an audience watching the sweet moment, he settled for letting his goofy grin show. "I see that cuteness works both ways," Deval remarked and Sam laughed loudly. "Yeah, you might have a point. I'm down for getting together, for sure. We've gotta make a pit stop after this to see Senay's folks, but we'll be back in the Haight pretty soon. We'll definitely meet up. Though these two trading hustlin' secrets..." Nia shook her head. "I see them getting along a little too well. We'll be helpless." The next few minutes were spent exchanging contact info, shouting at one another while the soundcheck carried on in the background. "Think D'angelo's getting ready to start. You wanna head down, maybe see if we can get a good spot? If not, you're more than welcome to use my shoulders as a seat." He'd really meant that for Senay, but was surprised when Deval chimed in, flashing him a winning smile. "Thanks, man. I was getting worried about not being able to see. But you're really tall. Our powers combined, I'll have the best seat in the house." His two ladies laughed at that, and Nia smacked him playfully on the arm. "Don't mind him, Sam. Val specializes in corny ass jokes." Sam, who was still laughing simply shrugged. "See, we're gonna get along juuuust fine, then."
San Fran Stroll | Eveine
Dog leash in one hand, keys in the other, Senay was ready to go. The keys found their way to a pocket and she looped Lark’s leash a second time around her fist to make sure the eager pup didn’t get too far out in front of her. Hyped as he was, she was sure he’d make a run for it if she let him. He was just as excited as she was about getting fresh air after a Saturday afternoon spent lounging around the house. Though she didn’t feel pent up quite yet, it was nice to stretch her legs, and she couldn’t have asked for better company, happy to have her whole little family out for the adventure. After choosing a direction, she strolled down the block with Sam and Gizmo at her side. “I don’t know how I feel about you and Lark having all these secret walks behind my back. What do you two talk about?” The question came with a playful narrowing of her eyes. “If you’re trying to turn him against me, that’s not going to work. I may be fourth favorite to you, but I’m first favorite to him. He knows where the good treats come from.”
