Scrambled Eggs AU: I just wanted to mess with Evan.

Gregory is scared at first, but in true Gregory fashion, tries confronting whatever it is. He's not letting them just intimidate him like that!

Then he finds what looks like a zombie. Yeah, this is too much even for him.

He tries to turn and run but the zombie trips over its own feet and gives a static-filled whine as it falls to the ground trying to run after him. …It's kind of pathetic and now he kind of feels bad for it.

Gregory gets closer, still keeping a bit of distance, and it calms down. If he dies doing this his dad is going to kill him.

Gregory getting closer and closer and eventually poking it in the face before leaning back. It didn't jump at him, so doesn't seem to want to eat him.

In that case, it's kind of cool. Gross, but cool. So as any kid that finds something he knows his parent won't approve of, he tries to sneak it into the house.

Poor Evan hears Gregory and movement in the house when he knows he dropped the kid off at school.

If Evan at some point found out about what his father was doing, once he found out about Gregory's "friend" he would probably think they were another of his father's victims. How else could they still be "alive" in such a sorry state?

Evan hasn't seen anything like this before. Evan tries to look up missing persons to try to find out who it is and to see if he can pinpoint when his father experimented on them. It's kind of hard with the condition of their body, but no one even looked around the right height.

Didn't anyone notice him missing? Was no one looking for him? No friends or family? Poor guy.

The man continues to mimic people's voices and phrases. Getting more natural with his voice box over time.

Evan freezes the day he hears Michael's voice. It sounds like his brothers, similar to when he last heard him, but older. Which makes sense since that was years ago, they were still kids.

Oh god. What were they going to do? Trying to stop their father was bad enough, but now they had to worry about their brother too? What was wrong with this family?

Michael still has trouble understanding what people are saying but keeps hearing his name and reacting to it. The reactions just confirm Evan's suspicions.

Elizabeth doesn't think it means anything. They do the same thing whenever someone says "eggs."
