I cannot get over the wonder of making small, every day items a form of artwork. Like having a nice doorknob? Reasonable, expected even. Having a doorknob that's shaped to look like a frog??

tonight for dinner, i will be making fish, asparagus and some variety of potato. i forgot that i enjoy cooking. yesterday was aloo matar keema (potatoes, peas and minced meat). all i've been doing lately is watching tv, reading, cooking and sleeping. kind of enjoying my "vacation" now with more of a schedule, even though im bored at times.

I'm being reminded of a bit of dialogue from Rules For A Knight in the 7th chapter/rule because I thought about a thing again and Cyrus was like "You're still hung up on that, huh?"

I'm still in a really weird place with like, my depression/anxiety issues and this shit going on with my mum's ex...but I think I'm getting back on my way to being okay again. I've met some really great people this year, I've been able to become closer to some of my older friends and distance myself from people who are dragging me down. I've done so much this year well beyond my comfort zones and I feel better for it. I can maybe move out soon and live on my own...I think I'm the closest I've been to happy in a long time.
