Building an Art Portfolio Tutor: Stuart Jones Wednesdays from 19:00 to 21:00 15th Sep 2021 £120.00 per 12 weeks term. Build and develop an art portfolio by exploring a range of drawing, collage and painting techniques and processes through mark-making, gesture, colour and scale. Push your skills and ideas to create a body of experimental artwork. This body of work can then be used to create an art portfolio for applying to Further or Higher Education courses. To book go to www.letchworthsettlement.org.uk About the tutor Stuart has been working as an artist for over 20 years and has taught art and contextual studies at higher education level for over ten years. His specialism is contemporary painting and drawing. The inspiration behind his artwork is the environment and how we experience the landscape. Amongst other awards, Stuart has been shortlisted for the John Moores painting prize (2020), awarded the Contemporary Arts Trust prize (2019), and shortlisted for 2018 Shortlisted for the Artzine Art Prize2018 Shortlisted for the Artzine Art Prize 2018 Shortlisted for the Artzine Art Prize the Lynn Painter-Stainers Prize. He has had numerous commissions and is represented by Arc Prints in London, and Saatchi Art Online. His work has been loaned for television and films by MGM Studios, Paramount British Pictures, and the BBC. He is also a Fellow artist at Digswell Arts and currently has a studio at the Fenners Building in Letchworth.
