Lesson 9: Perspective Principles: 2- Diminution (Size vs Placement of Form)
In the 2nd principle of Perspective we talk about Diminution. Which is basically the relation between size and placement in the scene and how that affects the way things look in perspective. This video is a quick overview for the 2nd principle with lots of examples to show. I Hope you find it helpful and enjoyable to watch :)
The picture says it all really. New year, new start, let's get going :) For anyone interested in joining the course I am building, you can find the link for Patreon in my bio. I am going to be teaching slow stitch textile sculpture, so you can expect a gentle pace, minimal equipment, and nothing too complicated. Fitted and primed.
My huge canvas ready to be painted for when I arrive back in college Wednesday.
I cant deny that this size scares me a little but I've done murals before so should be more than capable of completing it.
I will be using inspiration from Salvador Dali's 'Tristan and Isolde'.
I love how he captures the love ignited by a potion between the Irish princess and the Corniche Knight. But also shows the brutal reality of how without it, they had there own harsh choice to make. Similar to Romeo and Juliette, it tells us a story of 2 lovers torn by separated kingdoms.
I will be working on this towards my final Fad project for "The Distance formed around our bodies".
Anyone of you guys want to get free overpaint and professional feedback of your work? If yes send me an email ([email protected]) with your work, and I will try to help you increase your digital painting level.
