The sky was lit in orange and the air had shifted with a welcome warmth, though technically there was still no sun inside the Soul Stone realm. All the same, Elektra lay at the edge of the far end of the Roman bathhouse courtyard as if soaking up the heat. The ambient sound of water echoing off the smooth stone keeps her company and soothes her nerves when he is elsewhere. Aside from the spectres of her past dropping in for the occasional haunt, she was seriously beginning to question the wisdom of trying to escape this place. Everything she needed was right here.
She lounged unapologetic in black underwear, content to let her skin breathe again after the constant need to layer herself away from the relentless cold they had all recently been living in. Not one to let being half naked become an excuse for being unarmed, her twin sai rested beside her.
Letting her hand slip into the bath and skim the surface, she hoped he was getting as used to living like this as she was. Since they’d claimed it they’d been more than enjoying having the place to themselves. Which was why the indistinct sound of someone shuffling nearby set her on edge.
“Get your own.” She called out lazily, though her tone reverberated off the stone still firm enough to be a warning.
There was no reply only more rustling, and then a rush of rapid footsteps, like something skittering across the roof above her... something big. She'd started to sit up, hands reaching for her weapons, but she doesn’t have time to get to her feet before the thing descends over her, dropping in from above.
When the mass of muscle and bat-like wings covered in coarse hair hit it slammed Elektra back to the ground hard enough to shake her bones and force a rough grunt of displeasure. Her head bounced off the stone and left her almost immediately dazed. Although still stubbornly gripped in her fists are both sais. She doesn’t know what she’s looking at exactly, besides big, ugly, and breathing disgustingly hot across her skin.
“If you bleed in my bath, I will kill you twice.” She growled, bearing her teeth right back at the thing looming over her.
