It's a shame Jason was only in two issues of Leviathan because Bendis actually wrote him well (but then again, Bendis is great with street characters) and Maleev's art is always great

thoughts on underrated jason comic appearances??
hi birdie :3 waffled on this question for an embarrassingly long time before i remembered there a whole thing where he shows up that i love adore think of always and somehow have never talked about??
so: jason's brief appearance in a couple early issues in event: leviathan (#2-3 i think) were really fun!! solid show of competence from him as he runs away from all the heroes <3 and also stops in the middle of doing so to participate in an interview with lois lane. it's great.
also i'm still obsessed and not normal about the composition of the second image here <3 don't know quite what it is about that spread but i am thinking of it always.
it's been a bit since i read this but secret ominous organization leviathan was taking over the world's secret agencies, and damian ended up suspecting that jason was behind it. this is the scene of the confrontation.
the total lack of trust just really gets me. at the same time i do appreciate that bruce and damian do straight up believe jason is capable of pulling this off <3 so true. he sure is! i wish he did tbh. jason on a grief driven takeover of every spy agency in the world would be so awesome.
also bruce apologizing for not being there after roy died given... rhato #25 & #27 context sure makes me feel some kind of way.
sighs. i gotta reread this. the lois lane interview was so fun. their discussion after jason gets away from all seven of them is also a fun time. even the rest of the comic after he drops out of the narrative was. hm. i got kind of confused about it after a while but it wasn't that bad. i enjoyed myself. event: leviathan i don't get you but ily.
(sidenote leviathan was originally something talia put together!! talia mention!! as a resident lost days fan. gestures vaguely. i am truly looking for CRUMBS of connections between talia & jason these days.)
more well known but seeing red (ga 2001 #69-72) is literally peak jason todd. we've got it all: his meticulous and frankly ridiculous planning, a truly gratuitous amount of explosives, and he's a dramatic asshole. what more could you want.
Jason during the start of Event Leviathan: *minding his buisness*
Damian: You are running an international terrorist organization and are trying to overthrow the goverment as we speak!
Every once in a while I think about Event Leviathan and how Damian thought Jason was Leviathan and when questioned he said it was because Roy had recently died and if there was one thing that would make Jason want to light the world on fire it would be that. and not a single JL member disagreed with him. JASON didn't disagree with him he just said Roy was too good for this world and that's why he didn't go crazy over Roy's death. can anyone hear me
Plastic Man meets Leviathan by Alex Maleev
At least damian and talia had some cute interactions in this comic ig
