Since we’ve decided to postpone our first read until January, I thought it would be fun to do an event to kick things off. This event is for members only, so please do not participate if you weren’t accepted yesterday. This event’s theme is Favourite Literary Character and it will run from November 20th to December 3rd!!
HOW TO GET INVOLVED
make an edit, playlist or write something for your favourite character from literature
include in the caption “@bookclubnw’s first event: favourite literary character”
use “#bookclubnw” in your first 5 tags
Have fun, I’m excited to see your creations!!
so with my mom missing, i tried my hardest to bury my anxiety about it with school and work, but thats not a healthy way to deal with it at all! i ended up in a bad state of mind and it went downhill pretty fast to the point where i needed time off from... everything really. i had to let it all out and recuperate, and figure out what the best thing would be for myself. which was going back home for a while longer and then looking into therapy. which took a while to push myself into if im honest! but it really was a good decision. im still not myself, but i dont think ill feel alright for a while anyways. i have to strive even if my roots are taut and tearing from the strain.
im back mostly to look at cute pictures of cows and flowers and the like, and reconnect with a few friends! ill just be slow doing so if you all dont mind!

All of a sudden, green lights zoomed through the air and screams — real screams, not the ones from the haunted house — filled the air. They were here. A mix of fury, rage, fear and hatred pumped in Maria’s veins as she made the split second choice to stay, to fight, to keep these people safe, to avenge Matthew. She yanked her wand its holder on her thigh. No one would die tonight. These people wouldn’t suffer as she had. A woman, screaming for her children, took off at a mad dash toward the room where the children were, just behind the curtain, and, as if in slow motion, Maria saw a green light shoot off in her direction. She tried to cast a shield charm, but was seconds too late. There was a thunk and the woman fell to the floor with a thud that echoed in Maria’s ears. The sound was all too familiar. “No!”
