#ever after high prototype

Last year, motion_with_dolls on Instagram has received a Darling Charming prototype doll from dollsfordessert.

According to him, this version was maybe used as a sample display for internal use (the bag seems to have been glued to her hand) such as pitching to retailers or possibly at events like toy fair (Suddenly, I'm think of the SDCC 2015 where the new Royals and Rebels signature dolls were featured !). He thinks they painted over an Ashlynn Ella body for making her.

Holly O'Hair Spring Unsprung Prototype Doll in box

Another post about an Ever After High prototype shared last year by dollsfordessert on Instagram : Holly O'Hair Spring Unsprung in box ! The doll is obviously a prototype - her face is the Basic one, not the Spring Unsprung one ! The real prototype is the box which, as you can see, doesn't have anything in the back and has black dotted lines on the left bookbinding to indicate the fold marks of construction.

Photos of some Ever After High prototypes recently sold by @dollsfordessert on Instagram (As you saw in my previous post, the Briar Beauty Thronecoming doll was acquired by Courtly Jester)

I think that Apple White's head could be a prototype for the Hat-tastic Party line. The make-up looks pretty similar.

Bonus, here the pictures for the prototype doll of Kitty Cheshire basic that was on the same sales site that Lizzie Hearts Spring Unsprung.

If you remember, back in 2014, the first stock photos show the doll with these bracelets but the final version of Kitty Cheshire doesn't have them anymore. Here, you have the prototype doll with the bracelets on the arms just like in the webisodes.

I found the photos of the product sheet for the prototype doll of Lizzie Hearts Spring Unsprung that I saw on a sales site in 2020. (Unfortunately, I don't remember the name of the site but there was also the prototype doll of Kitty Cheshire Basic) ^_^"

Apple White Swimsuit Prototype?

Yesterday, @dollsfordessert (formerly called @dollsforthearchive) had posted on Instagram some pictures of a prototype outfit that could belong to Apple White:

“Don’t know much about this piece. Obviously it appears to be some sort of swimwear. The piece had elastic straps that have since shrivelled up.”

I'm realizing that I didn't share all the pictures of Ever After High prototype dolls that dollsfordessert has shared on his Instagram account in the last past year. It's been a long time since I got these pictures on my phone so... it's time to share them here !

First, the two pictures of Melody Piper prototype doll that I've included in the previous post. The clothes are handmade. The body and accessories are handpainted.

A prototype of Briar Beauty Epic Winter doll with, apparently, the body made in resin (as we can see with the knees) except he face that is the same as production. The pieces are handpainted.

Apple White Dragon Games prototype doll. As for Briar, the head is a production sample while the body is full resin, like the accessories. We can see on the second pictures that a bit of painting is missing.

Darling Charming Back To School prototype doll. The head seems to be her OG one and not the reboot one (with the constipated smiling). Also, she seems to have a silver accessory on the top of her hear but impossible to guess what it is : a mini-tiara ? sunglasses like the final dolls are supposed to wear ?

A Cedar Wood Birthday Ball doll with handpainted pieces and production sample head. I'm suddenly thinking of something... does this prototype doll smells Orange Pastry just like the final version ? XD

And the Hairstyling Holly O'Hair prototype doll with all her accessories which are handpainted. The face doesn't seems to be handpainted.
