holy FUCK Everdark Libra is so dogshit, what were they thinking

Just had a devastating Everdark run, 2x Ironeye and a Duchess (i was one ironeye)

we spawn at north church so no easy mobs to hit level 2 so forced to go to poison ruin where we promptly all die first run to bats

We get key decide to do gaol on right side of map lvl6, and a Crimson BBK is edge walking toward us while we’re trying to kill a Crimson Godskin Noble, we all die last second due to BBK and first night storm closing in

Finish up first night at level 6, then go Dark Zone of sleep ruin next to us to kill the two Condemned Invaders, which we do, tho the duchess and other ironeye both go down twice and once respectively when they get jumped by Condemned!Executor

We return to Godskin Noble and BBK and kill them this time now we’re level 8 then 10, then proceed to head to Nokstella City to start clearing that out as second night’s first ring starts to shut

Did i mention the boss was hidden btw? So yeah, don’t know what we’re fighting

Duchess is rocking a Lustats Staff with Stars of Ruin, other Ironeye has Serpent Bow, and I manage to get a Erdtree Bow at least, so we’ve got okay gear

Clear out some of the mini bosses on way to city peak, and we manage to kill the Astel just as final ring starts to close, so we get the second life bonus and we kill the Dragonkin Soldier on the way out

We have even better gear now, but we aren’t stacked by any means, i’m somehow level 15 while they’re both 14 by end of night 2

Queue final boss, we spawn in andd….its Everdark Libra

Fuck

We honestly demolish the goats first 20% then it phase switches and things Start To Go Terribly

We can kill the condemned at first but all of us at random points go down for one reason or another till we all go down after Duchess loses

BUT

WE DID THE CITY

second life clutch, we all reset a little bit and get distance from the condemned summons

I decide to sat fuck it and solo focus Goat, dragging him far away from the summons as i do so and honestly going toe to toe reallly fucking well for myself

The other two are whittling down the summons they can in the back, and surviving

I get the Goat down to maybe 5% left of its total HP

The other ironeye goes down in the background right as the Goat teleports onto me when i have no Marking cut uses left

I get madnessed

I go down, 3 bars full

The other ironeye is down, 3 bars full

The Duchess is half health, no heals left

She’s surrounded by Summons and Libra teleports ontop of her from behind

The Duchess goes down

None of us have wending graces

Its over….

Thankfully it didnt drop me back into Depth 3, and i’m still in 4 but decided to call it for the night after losing all the progress i made previously with two successful runs and one leaver (bullshit that you still lose points even if there is a leaver btw)

We could have had it alll, we were so close to an Everdark Libra Depth 4 KO

Managed to beat Everdark Libra on second solo attempt after two duo attempts night before with a mate, and tonight after 5 very rough runs (that i definitely didn’t accidentally sabotage 3 of by total accident), we got him as duo with sheer skill, a dash of luck, and a handy wending grace!

So far i think my everdark rankings are;

1. Fulghor (based, easily funnest to learn and has actual dodge timings that feel very satisfying to hit)

2. Libra (chaotic, i imagine it’ll only get worse the bigger the group. I love it.)

3. Caligo (perfection, though a tad too many AoEs and is trivialised by Frost Mountain shifting earth)

4. Maris (spectacle, loved having the storm ruler back though would’ve liked it more if it was not just a skill)

5. Adel (pain, still a fun fight but like any ‘its big’ boss dragon it can be A Lot more trouble than its worth with bad rng going into last night)

6. The Pests (name speaks for itself, i love their little lore and mechanically they are interesting but they’re very unfun to fight, since they’re basically a gank with rez mechanics)

Looking forward to Everdark Doggos and eventual Everdark Heolstor!!
