1 Forsooth these be the last words, which David, the son of Jesse, said. (The words that) The man said, to whom it is ordained of Christ, of the God of Jacob, the noble psalm-maker of Israel; (These be the last words which David, the son of Jesse, said. The words that the man to whom it was ordained to be the anointed of the God of Jacob, the noble psalm-maker of Israel, yea, the last words that he said;)

2 The spirit of the Lord spake by me, and his word by my tongue.

3 David said, God of Israel spake to me, the strong help of Israel, the just Lord of men, is Lord in the dread of God. (The God of Israel spoke, the Strong One of Israel said to me, The lord, or the leader, of men should be just, ruling in the fear of God.)

4 As the light of the morrowtide, when the sun riseth early, (and) is bright without clouds; and as an herb cometh forth of the earth by rains. Believers have “received the Spirit of adoption, whereby they cry, Abba, Father”: they have received that unspeakable Gift which attests and makes known to them their adoption by God. Before the foundation of the world God predestined them “unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to Himself’ (Eph. 1:5). But more-the elect were not only predestined UNTO the adoption of children-to actually and openly enjoy this inestimable favor in time-but this blessing was itself provided and bestowed upon them in the Everlasting Covenant of grace, in which they not only had promise of this relationship, but were given in that Covenant to Christ under that very character. Therefore does the Lord Jesus say, “Behold I and the children which God hath given Me” (Heb. 2:13).

This happens over & over until we learn to look to GOD as our Shepherd. Our all in all.

Psalm 23, GOD is good we need to focus on HIM in all circumstances.

The good, the bad, & the ugly.

           Matthew 25:32-33 | All the nations will be gathered            before HIM, & HE will separate the people one            from another, as a shepherd separates the            sheep from the goats.

              HE will place the sheep on HIS right               & the goats on HIS left.

           Ephesians 1:20 | which HE exerted in CHRIST            when HE raised HIM from the dead &

              seated HIM at HIS right hand               in the heavenly realms,

           Ephesians 2:4-6 | But because of            HIS great love for us, GOD,            who is rich in mercy,            made us alive with CHRIST,            even when we were dead in our trespasses.

           It is by grace you have been saved!

           And GOD raised us up with CHRIST &            seated us with HIM in the heavenly realms            in CHRIST JESUS,

Deliverance comes from GOD’s mercy to restore us for HIS Name sake

           Psalm 23:3 | HE restores my soul;            HE guides me in the paths of righteousness            for the sake of HIS name.

Everything happens for a reason: Seek GOD for wisdom to understand, guidance to walk as JESUS, & strength to endure to the end.

           Psalm 23:4 | Even though I walk through            the valley of the shadow of death,            I will fear no evil, for YOU are with me;            YOUR rod & YOUR staff, they comfort me.

GOD’s Presence is here with us. HE has said, “I will never leave you, nor forsake you.”

           Psalm 23:5 | YOU prepare a table before me            in the presence of my enemies.            YOU anoint my head with oil;            my cup overflows.

           Romans 15:13 | Now may the GOD of hope            fill you with all joy & peace as you            believe in HIM, so that you may            overflow with hope by the            power of the HOLY SPIRIT.

GOD’s love & truth shines brightest in the midst of evil & darkness.

The oil HE anoints us with is HIS joy. Rejoice & be glad in HIM.

          Romans 14:17 | For the kingdom of GOD           is not a matter of eating & drinking, but of           righteousness, peace, & joy           in the HOLY SPIRIT.

The trials we face, are means for us to look to HIM & know HIS peace which surpasses all understanding.

Matthew 5:9 | Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called children of GOD.

Luke 2:14 | “Glory to GOD in the highest, & on earth peace to men on whom HIS favor rests!”

Romans 5:1 | Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with GOD through our LORD JESUS CHRIST,****

Blessings to every follower of CHRIST!

           2 Corinthians 13:11 | Finally, fellow believers,            rejoice! Aim for perfect harmony,            encourage one another,            be of one mind,            live in peace.

           And the GOD of love & peace            will be with you.

     Philippians 4:7 | And the peace of GOD,      which surpasses all understanding,      will guard your hearts & your minds      in CHRIST JESUS.

"1. First, His (God's) Covenant is well ordered, in respect had to the Glory of all God's attributes.

3rdly, God's Divine Love. Mercy and goodness to lost man, to admiration is displayed hereby, God so loved the World, that he gave his only begotten Son, &c. Head and Surety to satisfy for our sins; and be made a curse for us: that so by his own Free-Grace through the Redemption that is in Jesus Christ, we might be reconciled, justified and eternally saved i. e. by his Merits and Righteousness imputed to us: there was nothing in man to oblige God to pity him, we were his enemies, when Christ died for us; and he offered and propounded this glorious contrivance of his Wisdom to his Beloved Son in the Covenant of our Peace, out of his infinite Love and Goodness, as seeing us fallen, and lying in our blood, it was as we were in that woeful condition he first loved us, and as the effects of that Love entered into a Covenant with the Son for us."
