noooo…. this can’t be true…… i have to think of what i want for dinner…AGAIN?
[explodes in a burst of sunlight]
One of the really great command navigators, Stewart Gillison, decided after he finished his tour that he wanted to stay in England. I welcomed him into Group Headquarters as my chief assistant. I could trust him with briefings.
Stew was not your normal guy. Under the circumstances of war, none of us were exactly level on course, but Stew was really something. At night, when he went to bed, instead of turning out the light, he shot it out with his 45 revolver. The ceiling of his room looked like a sieve, and the batman had to put in a new bulb every day.

I wish self care for me was just giving myself a treat and not using all my strength to perform routine hygiene tasks so I don't become miserable later
Added a new story to the “He brings you biscuits everyday?” Series AND it’s featuring the lovely Sharon 💜
—
He gets a message notification past midnight and he would be lying if he said he wasn’t waiting up.
His fingers tremble while pressing play and just like every time Rebecca aka “Da Boss” appears on his screen, his heart leaps in his chest.
“Te - T - Ted.” Rebecca slurs his name and he hears giggles.
“This song is for you.” Sharon jumps in and a moment of silence follows. Then, tentatively, Rebecca starts singing.
Every night in my dreams-
He hears a clattering noise and the voice note is interrupted.
Shortly after, his phone lights up with a new message.
“Sorry, sor-“ Sharon’s voice cracks and Rebecca’s laugh echoes loudly in his ears.
“Stop dropping the phone!” She screams and although drunk Rebecca is a rare sight, Ted could spot her anywhere.
The two women mumble something incomprehensible to each other and for a second Ted thinks they’ve forgotten about the message they were sending.
Every night in my dreams-
They start singing again and Sharon’s singing voice isn’t as wonderful as Rebecca’s but together they sound adorable. Ted shakes his head at himself. Her girlfriend for a week and he is already so whipped.
The voice note stops again and immediately a new one appears. A smile appears on Ted’s lips hearing their uncontrolled laughter and he wishes he was with them.
“Okay, now for real.” Sharon tries to catch her breath.
Near, far-
She begins and Ted misses the sound of Rebecca’s voice. His whole body yearns to hold her in his arms again.
Wherever you are-
They howl off key, high pitched. Ted wonders where they are.
His phone starts buzzing with an incoming call from Rebecca.
“Hi.” She drags the i for an unnecessarily long time and Ted should be ashamed of the happy grin that appears on his face.
“Hi, are you having fun?”
“‘eally could use a biscuit ’ght now.” She mumbles and she sounds like does in fact have a biscuit in her mouth.
“You'll get one in the morning sweetie, like every day.” He promises.
“He brings you biscuits every day?” Sharon's scream is loud in his ears. Rebecca snorts a laugh in response and the line is disturbed by a crackling sound.
“Give me that. Ted.” The doctor calls out, clearly having stolen Rebecca’s phone. Ted can hear Rebecca cackling and it’s the most beautiful sound.
“Ted.” Sharon repeats.
“Yeah, yes I’m here.”
“Ted.” The woman repeats once more and hoo jeepers, are these two drunk, Ted thinks.
“I think we need-“ Sharon starts speaking but Rebecca is singing at the top of her lungs in the background and she loses track. “Oh, I love Rebecca!” She exclaims and the connection is interrupted.
“Me too.” Ted whispers to himself. Sighing, he stands up and puts his Richmond jacket on.
His phone rings again and it’s Sharon calling this time.
“Just send me your location and I will pick you up.” He tries to hide the smile in his voice.
“Ted, thank you sooo much!” Rebecca sings in delight.
