what's your diss on it sounds FUN
It is SUPER fun! I’m basically talking about how fans reclaim narratives and foster a more community-focussed, egalitarian model of story creation. It’s turning out slightly more like sociolinguistics than literary criticism atm, but my course is technically a langlit course and my tutor told me I’m walking the line OK, so it’s all good!
but holy shit you don’t realise how much of your knowledge is esoteric until you’re having to explain terms like canon, fanon, headcanon, transformational fandom, meta, how AO3 works, what the MCU is ... eating up those words :’)
