I don't mind evil Adora stories but i feel to often they give to similar reasons that Catra had for being evil. Personally I think a evil Adora is a "Ends justify the means" kinda villain. Someone who very much thinks they are in the right. In a way kinda like Glimmer but more a Black Knight then a Evil queen kinda thing.

Oh, absolutely. There's a quote I'm very fond of mentioning when I talk about villains who have some kind of depth to them. The quote is from Gulag Archipelago by Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn and it is, ""To do evil a human being must first of all believe that what he’s doing is good, or else that it’s a well-considered act in conformity with natural law."

That would be evil!Adora. She would convince herself that she's doing the right thing and even if she thought it was maybe on the evil side of the street, that she was stopping something worse. Honestly, that's way more horrifying than a mustache twirling villain to me because it's way more down to earth and realistic.

Okay a reason I absolutely adore Evil!Adora paired with She Ra!Cattra (basically role swap) is melog!

Now, You'd still get Swift Wind for Catra, so it goes without saying Adora would need a cute animal companion. With Melog, they're a shiftshaper, so, do they actually have a cat like form? Or did they realise that a bigger "cat" would scare her, and a smaller cat like creature would comfort her?

Anyways, so Adora encounters Melog, and it shifts to a catlike creature when they realise she doesn't want to hurt her, (cause you know, she likes Catra's comfort so) and suddenly she has a cat friend!

And Catra LOVES this because hey!!! Body language she can read! (Some I hc) when she was younger she HATED other people because she couldn't read people that well, she had ears and a tail that portrayed her emotions quite easily, normal human people don't have that! Where do they keep their emotion??? (She also hates that she has ears and a tail to give away so easily when she's afraid).

Anyway so, this cat creature is tied to Adora's emotions and, blue to red colour changing aside, finally!! She has help reading Adora (yes she grew up with Adora, and knows her like a sister, but after all this? After the fighting (and the yearning) and the Horde and Shadow Weaver and everything that happened, it's easier)

So Catra and Melog have a sort of deal about looking after Adora.
