Danse Macabre Ch. 3 (ao3)
Chapters: 3/? (10k words) Rating: Mature Warnings: Graphic Depictions Of Violence, Spoilers for Dark Urge origin, Body Mutilation, Unconscensual Body Modification, Traumatic Events, Trauma Responses to Affection Relationships: Astarion/Wyll Summary:
Seeing Astarion up close with joy, Wyll decides right there and then that no matter what, he’s glad they met. Coral could be right in his face the moment the two of them return, ready to take their heads, and he doesn’t care. Even in strife, he has never felt more whole. As careful as he can be, he holds Astarion's head with both his hands and places a kiss on his forehead. He smells like earth and mold, like life itself, found where you don't expect it. "Wyll…" Astarion sighs again. He clutches Wyll’s armor. It is the most beautiful sound he’s ever heard.
In darkness, there is finally a glimmer of light.
aka Wyll and Astarion finally get a break before Evil!Tav ruins it all again.
My Lolth-sworn drow sorcerer Evil!Tav. His name is Weaver (pronouns he/it) and he is HORRIBLE <3333 he had just escaped a loath sworn devout cult he was trapped in and fled into Baldurs gate when the mindflayers took him, and now he wants the world to know the pain he felt
I’ve been doing an evil run in baldurs gate (it’s so hard I keep feeling so guilty 😭😂) and I’ve fallen head over heels for my Evil!Tav. Will be drawing him more lol
So you know how when Orin reveals her kidnapping, you get some pretty harsh options to tell her, like, in Halsin's case, "keep him, he can bore you with his prattling instead"? And later, in the temple, "kill him, his fate is of no interest to me"?
... All I'm saying is, evil!Tav saying those things about Halsin, Orin gloating to Halsin, who refuses to believe that even his misguided traveling companion would ever say such a thing, and then when what he thinks is his "rescue" arrives, he hears that.
Right before Orin stabs him.
He survives, barely. Just strong enough to contemplate the betrayal as he waits to see if the others are even going to bother unlocking him from the alter.
