This is for the alpha!cal q&a night... Alright so, how does the alpha thing work out in the au? Are alphas born or made, or both? Will an alpha always have kids that are alphas? Like thr first born, are they always alphas?

so, pups are born just pups. while wolves grow up, you can try to predict what they will ascend as by their personality or physical abilities, but you can’t be 100% sure, it doesn’t work like that. environment and upbringing also has a big say in it. it’d say about 60% of pups ascend with the same position as one of their parents, but not more. sometimes you train an alpha from a pup, but they ascend as omega because of some reasons (like the reader in tgwcw)

alpha’s kids are absolutely not necessarily will be alphas. the Lake Pack was the only one with the inherited bloodline. in every other pack alpha is a chosen position. when alpha dies or just gets old, wolves chose a new alpha. it can be current alpha’s kid, or not. can be an alpha’s protege or not. but the pack chooses.
