Not so much a fan of playing chess as I am of sitting next to someone who’s mediocre at chess and whispering possible moves in their ear like a cunning advisor who came up from nothing and must keep the weak minded king w no real gift for statecraft from running the kingdom into the ground and maybe I have my own nefarious personal aims as well you don’t know. Also I’m a wizard and there’s rumors that I practice dark magic but my position in court is so valuable and the king trusts me so implicitly no one can do anything about it. I call it bloodravenmaxxing. Getting in my wormtongue reps.
