day one of Wizard Walks:

my brain is fucked so ive decided i will be going to the woods every morning that i am able to, today i scoped out a potential route, found a stream but didnt get too close cuz some randos appeared and i had to nonchalantly power walk out of the woods. in other news i saw a nuthatch and a GREAT SPOTTED WOODPECKER extremely exciting.

BLOG NAME CHANGE: OOC POST

I finally had the time and mental resources to research proper names for this guy rather than a lazy quiz result, and after a few hours of searching for a name I felt best fits the character and his backstory, I have settled on: Alden Capella!

Alden: Both Germanic and Old English origins, meaning either "Old Friend" or "Old Valley". I thought it very fitting for a man who's spent 2000 years away from earth.

Capella: I had a hard time finding and settling on it, quite simply the brightest star in the constellation Auriga, The Charioteer. Fun fact: Capella is in fact a star system, not one star.

I will also go back through the blog and change the tag names, just for consistency going forward.

I've been experimenting with various growth spells recently and I've gotten some highly interesting results, including (but certainly this is not the whole list):

-Sentient Tomatoes -Squishy Twigs -And, most mysteriously, a type of mushroom which appears to sap the magic from everything around it. I'm calling it an "Unmagic Mushroom". I am admittedly afraid to touch it.

Perplexing, yet endlessly fascinating. I'll have see if these are documented phenomena.
