I do the sign language for more and no respectively when I like or dislike something
I rub against things (both in the rubbing my hands on textures things and rubbing my head against solid things like a cat kind of ways)
I play with my hands a lot- waving, clenching, etc
I do a lot of origami and knitting when I can stand the textures
I also stim by running around the house at high speeds
When I listen to music I tend to wave my hands to the beat of the words rather than the actual rhythm
I have a few favourite necklaces that I use as stim toys by wrapping them around my hands, playing with a bell that I can take out of a cage, or sliding the pendants around
I love concrete. I love concrete as a texture. I will rub my hands against concrete for hours, and I have.
I like fine grain sand and I also love sandpaper
BIG FLUFFY FUZZY WARM THINGS (Think onesies)
I really really love soft sheets with high thread counts, and pillows are nice too
Laminated stuff is great too
This is going to sound weird so I’m sticking it in the middle but I really love skin as a texture. Not when people are touching me unprompted, mind, but when I touch others. Yeah that still sounds weird
Play-doh and clay are fantastic, and I especially love clay that’s watered down so that it’s all soft and runny
that goo you make with corn starch and water is also fantastic
actually basically any watery substance or water itself is good
DO NOT MAKE ME PUT ON THAT SCRATCHY T-SHIRT OR SO HELP ME (So help me): a song by me
I love glue as a texture, especially when it dries, but I hate sap and most sticky stuff with the fury of one thousand suns
I know I said I love sand but I mean to say I love sand when it stays on the beach and magically does not cling to my body because once it is stuck to me it is the worst thing that has ever happened to me
I can’t wear socks with seams because those are awful and bad and I hate them
