One sided shouting was all she heard when she peered down from her perch. She’d spent the night trying to tame her fears, fears that were absorbed the moment the drunken individual below caught her attention. Through the reading of body language she could just tell the silent man was getting angry. Close to snapping. She liked to think of herself as good, but truth be told... In that moment, she was too curious to separate the two. What would he do?
The end result was quick. She snorted and shook her head, sliding down from her perch onto a fire escape and trotting down. Her eyes examined the drop where it ended and decided to take the chance, stepping carelessly from the edge and landing hard on her feet. Despite being careful of how to land, she still felt the painful shock shoot up her legs that made her pause and inhale sharply. When she recovered, she stalked over to the man and peered around him. Eddie was silent; she didn’t move, speak or touch him, her breathing almost non existent to go unnoticed.
“Heh, nice one. Could do with a little more pain, though,” she finally said, slapping the stranger on the back. “I mean if you’re going to murder an asshole like that, you’ve really gotta make it worth while. To each their own, though.”
