Hey, me again! I've been playing CoE and having a pretty good time (still haven't gotten particularly far but that's fine), but I seem to have run into an issue where my keyboard doesn't seem to be working on the game. At least, the arrow keys, z key, and enter key aren't working. The escape key can move the dialogue along, but it also moves whenever I change screens (which I do often), and restarting the game isn't fixing it. Not sure what to do, can you help? Sorry for the long ask.

hi! I'm glad you're having fun so far <3 I talked about it with a friend, and here's what we came up with:

Do you know what section you're on/do you have a screenshot? There are a few places where text autoplays and will progress without you pressing anything (like a cutscene). Near the end of CH1, right after the rat, you'll hear a bunch of knocking. you'll need to move Atou to the right, and it starts a cutscene where Atou won't be able to move for a bit, and some text will progress without you pressing any buttons. This is intended! There are multiple moments throughout the game where it will progress the text without the player pressing anything.

If it's not letting you move atou at all, even in sections where you're supposed to be able to: restart your computer (shut down and turn it back on)! If that still doesn't work, it seems like this is is a known bug for RPGMaker 2003, with a fix on the steam forums here!

i've done that quiz twice now and gotten shizune both times lol (also in fairness to the quiz it doesn't say "character that deserves the hate" just y'know. a character that people hate a lot. which in your dad's case happens to be entirely undeserved)

Choosing a Hokage was harder, though. I tried to skip that one but it wouldn't let me finish. Thankfully, they don't say for what you are supposed to choose them. So I decided I would chose one to set on fire first 🤣🤣🤣🤣
