I love the duality of man that comes with seeing characters in MyStreet vs. MCD
It reads so much as "what trauma does to a mf" like
Garroth in MCD has heavy generational trauma and that carries through how he is a heavy masking allegory, very monotone and mild spoken, never speaking his mind on his personal interests or thoughts and opinions because he's never had anyone who cared for them, only a person who wanted to mold him into a mirror
Versus Garroth in MyStreet who is very silly and outgoing, same sense of justice and desire to protect those he cares for but now he is given the freedom to express that without the thought that he'd get reprimanded for it
In a way it's tragically beautiful to think of them as connected, I know people don't like having MCD and MyStreet connected through Season 6, but I love it, I think the selfishness of Irene wanting to relieve her days over and over in different lives, experience the world in different ways gives a bitter sweet taste to this new world she brought them into, like yes she brought her "favorite toys" with her to a new world so she could have herself (? it's complicated lol) start a new with a better life that just so happened to kind of be better (it's complicated) for the others (originally, anyway. it's complicated) was happenstance, like yes they're better but would have Irene cared if they weren't and Aphmau and Aaron were still alive ?
