Hallo! First, I want to tell you that I /love/ your blog (if that wasn't apparent by the plethora of likes :P). So informative and has such great content (your gifs!!). I've been reading through your 2doc fics and they are just amazing. I love the complexity that you give the characters, especially Murdoc, who I've noticed a lot of people tend to write as one-dimensional. Which sucks bc there are so many internal layers to him. I was wondering if you have recs to other good quality 2doc fics?

Hi and thank you! So, it’s actually been a minute since I read 2Doc fanfic so I may not be the best person to ask. I stopped actively looking around 2015-ish in part for the reason you mention above. For all the writing inconsistencies, they have, against all odds, still managed to create multi-faceted and memorable character in Murdoc and it bums me out that it doesn’t always get translated into fanwork. Like, I don’t really consider myself an aspiring writer or anything and I typically don’t produce that kind of content, but part of the reason I attempted in the first place was because I wanted to try add to the amount of fics w/ that interpretation of Murdoc. That all being said, I do have a list!

The LJ one I mentioned in an ask a while ago (warning for 1 slur)

Naked (NSFW please don’t click if you’re under 18, additional warnings are listed @ the top of the fic. Very attentive to Murdoc and his relationship to intimacy)

Eyeballs (I was recently talking about fics w/ @theswellmaps and she gave me this rec. Rated K+. The ending is just fasfjkdfs)

New Vocabulary (also a rec from theswellmaps. I haven’t read this one yet but I trust her taste! haha. This one is rate M as well so I would heed any warnings)

There are also some fics that I go back and forth with as to whether or not I would rec them because it honestly depends on what kind of reader you are. Like, there are definitely some elements in them that I feel aren’t executed very well but they also *do* really give a lot of though to Murdoc as more than just and unfeeling asshole, delve into his trauma, etc. which I feel like was very rare for pre-2015 so I respect them for that…but then there are also some not so good elements. So I’m not sure I’ll list them here but if you want more info I can send you them privately.

I was also given some recs here which I haven’t read yet but since they were given to be by an anon who had (I think?) followed an earlier convo I had about the kind 2Doc fics that I tend to be drawn to, I’ll trust the rec.

Oh my godddd they're doing it to me too over completely normal gifsets! It's absurd.

I’ve been on a bit of a photoshop hiatus so I hadn’t noticed any difference with my own works but ugh it’s like they’re actively looking for ways to make this site less user friendly with each update.

YES!! shemar is coming back for the season finale! that’s all i know tho, not sure if it’s for the whole thing or just a snippet of it but the writers damn well know they can’t do it without giving us a little moreid 😇
