Cubito!Pearlescentmoon gets pigeon-holed as a “big sister” despite consistently being one of if not the youngest in any given group.

This is most evident in the “sibling edition” settings, where she and Grian and Solidarity are related and she is 9.5 times out of 10 portrayed as older than Jimmy and 7 times out of 10 as older than Grian, despite cc!Pearl being the youngest of the three.

This is symptomatic of the motherization of women in media in general and fandom in particular, and in this case often results in a flanderization of Cubito!Pearl, reducing her to the characteristics deemed more “responsible” and “mature” and preventing her from being portrayed as weird and unhinged and multi-faceted as she actually is.
