ᯓᡣ𐭩 Mirage didn't know what to think of you at first. He, along with the other Autobots, had been instilled with a mentality to never trust a Decepticon since the beginning of this great war. He didn't often approach you, and was suspicious of your every move
ᯓᡣ𐭩 Very gradually, he began noticing things about you that other mechs didn't seem to pick up on. How you were trying to help wherever you could, how you seemed upset when dismissed by the others, how you were frequently doing energon intakes alone. He felt a twinge of guilt in his spark. He knew what it felt like to be looked over and Decepticon or not, it was never pleasant
ᯓᡣ𐭩 He came up to you one day when you were trying to find some energon, offering a cube of his own so you could refuel. To your surprise, he sat beside you, nervously asking about your old job
ᯓᡣ𐭩 It became routine for you two. Refuel together, and share anecdotes of what it was like to work for each Faction. Mirage occasionally cracked a joke here or there to break the tension. He came to find that he loved the sound of your laughter
ᯓᡣ𐭩 He'd make jokes about which Decepticons he thinks he could take on, and you'd give him insider knowledge on if it was actually possible. As you got closer, Mirage began having these little conversations with you all the time
ᯓᡣ𐭩 You were surprised when he defended you against one of the backhanded and defensive comments from an Autobot. He'd immediately slid in front of you, telling the mech to back down and not cause any trouble. He then gave you a grin and took your arm to lead you away from them
ᯓᡣ𐭩 Mirage began keeping a little tally of each time you helped him out, set on returning the favor whenever he could. Remember that one time you stopped a rock from landing on his helm? No?
