@hamsterloki ‘s ocs for her bday :D
And now, for no reason at all.. My WoW OCs as pies
Karvosh: Strawberry-Rhubarb pie, because a weird mix of sweet and bitter, and rhubarb leaves are poisonous so you have to be careful when making it.
Exaara: Apple pie, because it's traditional, sweet, and you practically can't go wrong with it.
Flintgut: Steak and kidney pie, because it's flavourful, uncommon, and not for everyone but never so bad it's unwelcome. Also because meat pies are always served smaller than dessert pies.
Andaakt: Pecan pie, because it's delicious but can be deadly if the wrong person eats it.
Emilicie: S'mores pie.. because is that even a pie? What is this nonsense? Who put this pile of junkfood in a pile and called it a pie?
I Will Try to Fix You (Closed Rp with Blastflight)
The Draenor garrison was relatively calm as the daily routine was followed in a calm fashion, some soldiers being on-duty while others were enjoying their free time, either together or just passing time in the numerous facilities.
Commander Exaara was still sitting at her desk, working her way through a tall pile of paperwork. She had sent a messenger to go request Io's presence, so now it was only a matter of time.
Once Io arrived, Exaara smiled up to him, setting aside another form that she was working on. She greeted him in Common, wanting to give him an opportunity to work on his ability to speak the language while with someone who would understand him if he needed to switch back to Draenic, "Good evening, Io. How have you been? Have your tail piercings been healing well? Andaakt told me that the iron rings were successfully removed, and replaced with better quality replacements.."
She reached over to the corner of her desk to retrieve a small jewellery box, sliding it across the desk over to where Io stood. "I had these made for you."
On the inside were two tail rings, large enough to be worn as bracelets on a human, made of silver. They were similar to the traditional kind worn by most Draenei, though the clasps on both showed that they would be able to be clipped over both of the studs in Io's tail to cover them. With intricate designs, they were a beautiful decoration to cover injuries that were sources of shame for Io. The one aspect that differed the two rings were the Draenic words engraved into them, with purple, metallic paint highlighting the individual characters. One said, "Unbroken," while the other read, "Unbowed."
🎼 for Exaara and Io
It's about one person wanting to fix the other who has been hurt, and mentions Light guiding someone home. There was literally no better song I could think of.
That and I heard Cranius's cover before I heard the original by Coldplay, so it makes Coldplay's vocals sound like absolute shit in comparison.
What are your OCs doing for Children's Week?
Karvosh isn’t going to do anything. While she doesn’t necessarily “hate” kids, she feels uncomfortable around them. This is mostly because she never really was fully socialized with children due to her upbringing, and her own childhood was extremely short since the Third War forced her to grow up very quickly (she was a child soldier pretty much the moment the internment camps were liberated). So, she doesn’t quite “click” with children. On the other hand, she also avoids children because of the fact she does care about them, and wants them to retain as much innocence and have as much of a childhood as she never got to have, but she just knows she would not be able to contribute positively to that; she’s territorial, aggressive, and has difficulty controlling her own strength at times. Basically, she’s bad with kids, but she knows she is, and cares enough about kids that she wants them to be happy, which means -without- her.
Exaara and Andaakt are both going to be working on having a few Children’s Week events in the Draenor garrison run by the Justicars; early in the Draenor campaign, Exaara had an impromptu orphanage set up within the garrison so orphaned children, or children separated from their parents, could have somewhere safe to stay and to make sure they are fed and cared for. This includes easily half a dozen Orcish orphans among the others, because Exaara refuses to burden the young with the actions of the old. The two of them would set up fun activities for them, and have other members of the garrison help them make baked goods so the kids get the chance to celebrate and hopefully take their minds off of the war. Flintgut would definitely be helping with the baking (likely using engineering to try and speed up the process.. With varied results).
Emilicie.. Uh, yeah, she’d either sleep through the entire ordeal, forget the holiday was even that week, or not really care. She’d probably just go about her usual business of boozing, snoozing, or mooching off of her cousin. She’s not fond of kids, so Children’s week tends to slip her mind on a yearly basis.
Io let out one of what would be his signature sighs of frustration. "Commander Exaara. How do you deal with the common folks of Azeroth with such ease? I cannot seem to grasp how you manage to command such respect among them. I am just that off the mark that no one see me as a warrior and just sees me as some lowly plaything from some place called Goldshire?" Io's tendrils twitched as he spoke with annoyance in his voice. "That and they seem unable to tell that I clear am not female."
Exaara gave Io a comforting smile, "I have had nearly a decade to come to terms with the ways of the 'common folks', as you call them. You have had barely a year. I assure you, it was just as difficult to adjust for me as it is for you now."
Her smile steadily faded as Io described being viewed as a 'plaything' from Goldshire, and others being unable to tell his gender. Rising from her seat, Exaara spoke in a firm voice, clearly serious yet keeping an even temper.
"If any of them insinuate that you are a 'plaything from Goldshire', or are ignorant enough to continue describing you as female after you correct them.. Then I want you to report them directly to me. Then I will.. Have words.. With them."
Her tone suggested that the penalty would be far more harsh than a discussion.
