Off topic but.. how awesome would it be if WoW had as many awesome lady characters as Overwatch?

ok but here's the thing: they do. they have a lot of really awesome characters with a lot of potential. the problem is, they are totally underutilized, so that potential is wasted or squandered on some dumb shit like killing them for the sake of their love interest's character development or warping them so fucking far from their original character concept that they're virtually unrecognizable

like at their core, their concepts are really fucking neat and engaging but everything they do and everything that happens to them ultimately isn't their decision, it's the writers' decision, and ultimately any shitty thing they do isn't their fault. like honestly overwatch is only better because they saw what they did in their other games and how people reacted to it, and finally fucking started to learn from their mistakes. and as far as where wow fits in this, they're trying, they're learning, but  they're working on it slowly because WoW is a much more firmly established universe than OW is, and unless they do a massive retcon overhaul, they've p much just gotta deal with it and move on. like they made their bed, time to lie in it.

I could (and have) go on about this for hours but it's 2 am and I'm running on about 4 hours of sleep currently
