Hi! "Improving ocs" is a really blanket statement, and dare I say, not what you're looking for, per se. If you're wondering how to create more visually interesting characters then you'll have a much fruitful search if you look for character design resources, whether they'd be youtube videos or advice from professional character designers on their social media. I would say, there isn't really another solution to this other than genuinely taking an interest in the field long term to understand the playing field, take inspiration, learn tricks, and develop a visual language that would satisfy you personally on your quest to develop more interesting characters. If you're wondering how to create more narratively interesting characters (personality, motivations, backstory etc.) then you should take a gander at character writing advice and other literary resources. Characters are essentially vessels and vehicles for and of a story, and the more sound understanding of their story you have, the more you'll be able to elaborate on it through the character itself - their actions, attitudes, habits, and, funnily enough, their clothing choices (which ties in with the previous point). These two points are quite intertwined really, the story feeds the visuals and the visuals tell a story, so I highly recommend checking out both fields :)
