i've never wanted for jack to become god and i still wish he could have lived a normal life with the people he loves and that love him in return, but there is something to be said about god starting out as cas' absent father who turns out to be an asshole who never loved his children and ending up as cas' son who is good and pure because cas loved him

Cas is simply the best dad :) And the best in breaking the vicous cycles. God was an awful, absent father? Cas is anything but. God comes back and still shits on him? Cas takes none of it. He gives Jack everything he was never given: love, compassion, understanding, support. And therefore creates a new, better God.

(although of course I would love Jack to just stay in the bunker with his dads and live happily)
