like it just annoys the shit out of me that bioware keep going down this route of the prominent characters/storylines casting the jedi as the ones who steal babies and don’t care about people who aren’t force sensitive when the sith are. literally Right There and even in bioware’s own shitty writing are the ones who force all Force sensitivies to become sith or die trying, and who hunt down and murder anyone who quits and just straight up don’t consider non-Force users worth bothering about (meanwhile ex jedi are actually held in fairly high esteem in the republic, case and point ardun kothe who for all his moral questionability does still command respect and hold a position of (unseen) power, and ex-jedi who turn sith only end up on hit lists when they start, you know, committing war crimes, and even then the jedi will straight up push to give literal war criminals a chance to rehabilitate and atone)

“oh but technically the sith are still the bad guys” yeah but the jedi are the ones being prominently cast and criticised by bioware’s own writing for doing things that actually!! they don’t even do!!!

i’ve been pondering that future-imperfect piece i wrote a little while back for eirn and quinn, in the context of that post about communication this morning, which... it’s kinda hilar because the key problem in it there is 🎉🎉communication🎉🎉

the reason they split in the first place is that they kept having these massive differences of opnion that they couldn’t resolve and in the finish just decided to call it quits, but in the intervening time nothing has changed very much because through the whole conversation, eirn refuses to let quinn finish his questions, doesn’t listen to what he’s trying to say and is so convinced that she already knows how it’ll end that she does the equivalent of jamming her head in a sand bucket going LA LA LA I CANT HEAR YOU

(she’s not worth it, malavai. probably, anyway.)

bonus points: one of the pieces of hatemail i got for it accused her of being an sjw mary sue, which... friend. did you even read it? if you’d called her out for, you know, being terrible then i’d have agreed with you, but. lmao
