Hello! (^₃^)₌₃♕ I'm Vikke, a Finnish girl about to go on an exchange year to Japan. 🇯🇵

I wanted to make a blog for my 10 month exchange in Japan in order to document my experiences and progress with the language. I can also work on my English as a bonus, since Finnish is my first language.

I live in South-Western Finland, so moving to Japan for such a long time will surely be way different to what I'm used to. My exchange is starting in August and I'm so nervous! I still don't know where I'll be placed, but I'll update this blog when my agency gives it.

Im in my Exchange year now and low-key I was not expecting to be this culture shocked by Hungary but damn what the fuck

And I feel so bad for thinking this, but why is it here like in the 70s in my homecountry? Today I attended a sheep butchering and no one acted as if it were unusual? And then my host family spent 4 hours cutting filets???

so, my best friend is going to USA for an exchange year. Im just getting so worried. I mean, things arent the best in USA, and I dont watch many news and such. I just dont know, should I be worried? She is gonna live in Kentucky, im just scared she wont return back to Norway next year. Am I supposed to worry so much? Or will things be alright?
