The level of effective resistance by Ukrainians to the Russian invaders is world class. Even people who live on back roads can’t wait to do their part to drive out the Russians with homemade firebombs.
Morale of Russian troops is downright abysmal. A series of reports from the last couple of days points to a wretched military staffed by mutinous soldiers who would prefer to be anywhere else.

Russia, for some reason, refuses to release official statistics regarding losses. But those coming from Ukraine’s Ministry of Defense appear to be realistic.
If anything, the ministry is a little cautious with these daily counts. It took them two days to include the Russian naval vessels recently sunk or damaged beyond repair.
