I am indeed making it, and I already have the fabric!!
I’m using the same fabric for the bodice and sleeve things that I’m using for her hat. That is to say, I used a twill for the dark blue part, and some suiting for the pink part.
You don’t have to get that exact combination, but I would recommend something with a decent amount of thickness to it.
As for the light purple part and the light pink diamonds on her bodice, I picked up some crepe from Joanns for that part. Not as thick, but it should get the job done since it’s being overlaid on the thicker fabric.
I’m using four way stretch material for the shorts and socks, since that’s what I need for that portion of the costume. Don’t get stretchy stuff for the bodice though!! It may look form fitting, but it’ll just fall down if you have a lot of stretch in the fabric since there’s no straps.
I am making her books too. I’ve got some posts on that at the end of my tag for this cosplay, and I made a cosplay.com thread where I got a bunch of help on them here that you can look at for inspiration.
