CITTR Email to ITT Retirees 4-7-2016
Concerned ITT Retirees
April 7, 2016
Dear ITT Retiree,
As you may recall, CITTR wrote letters to Washington leaders and U.S. Government agencies asking for help.
The Committee has now received a reply from the U.S. Department of Labor. Although the Department of Labor (DOL) offers no immediate relief from Harris Corporation's actions terminating your life insurance benefits, the letter does state that the CITTR inquiry has been referred to an investigator in the DOL's Miami office.
The Committee has replied to the DOL and included, with that response, a "Retiree Benefit Funding White Paper" which answers the statements that Harris Corporation has given to the DOL and, as well, to reporters. The Committee's White Paper strongly disagrees with the reasoning Harris Corporation offers in defense of the plan termination. We are attaching a PDF which includes the DOL's letter to the CITTR and our recent response, including the White Paper.
We suggest you share the White Paper with your federal, state and local government officials and media outlets. This will help correct the erroneous statements Harris Corporation spokesmen have made.

About Concerned ITT Retirees

Concerned ITT Retirees seeks to protect the interests of ITT retirees and their retiree benefits as impacted by the 2015 acquisition of Exelis by Harris Corporation.
