james and lily sit next to each other in the stands at a gryffindor quidditch game that james can't play because he had an injury at the last game. when marlene scores, james elbows lily so hard she almost falls off the bench.

lily threatens to hex him but also her ears become so red that they match her hair and that makes james laugh even more.
