Sindria rarely seemed to have a bad day; with a bright, shining sun, tropical temperatures, peace around even the palace, it was a dream come true. Birds overhead, the sound and smell of the ocean wherever one turned, a smile on the face of everyone who lived there...
And the explosion that rocked part of the palace, blowing out part of the wall and littering the grass outside with rubble.
Okay, maybe it was better if she didn't cook. Ever.
Coughing with the resulting smoke and dodging some of the rubble – was that a frying pan lodged in that tree? Whoops, she'd.. Have to figure out how to pay for that – Sera stumbled out into a relatively empty patch of grass, trying to catch her breath. What had gone wrong? She'd had help this time, nothing should've exploded! Of course, that was just her luck... Every time she touched anything not an oven in a kitchen, it either turned food an odd color, burned beyond recognition, smelled bad, or just... Exploded.
But it would've been one thing if it'd been a house she was borrowing- This was a palace! Sin's palace! The man who'd taken her in and given her a home- “He'll kill me,” Sera sighed out, trying and failing to pick up a relatively large chunk of wall. Might as well start trying to clean up before her friend discovered what she'd done... And before half the palace staff came running and drove her back into her quiet shell.
