Do you ever wish you could piece your existence together like a patchwork quilt?
That you could somehow take your career, and knit it into a different city. That you could be closer to your family and still maintain your boundaries and independence. That you could find a way to have that cottage in the woods but also order Thai food and have it delivered to your door.
These are the fantasies of the heartsick, homesick, far-flung millennial.
Why are you so angry?
I don't want to be angry anymore.
Or tired, or sad, or disappointed
Frustration mixed in with the sweet elation
of the possibility of something new.
The anger peters out in a slow exhale
and the patterns play again and again before your eyes.
"Nothing ventured, nothing gained,"
and still the result stays the same.
Why are you so angry? Inspiration
Existential ennui pg. 1
I started this when I was in high school ten years ago and I’m determined to finish lmao I’ve been using my iPad and a Logitech crayon without pressure so I’m strugglinggg
Life update:
I moved into my own apartment. I kind of hate this place. I'm incredibly lonely. Lovesick by Laufey plays on repeat in my head. I want to cry almost daily but I haven't been able to once. I've tried having friends over, had fucks over, had men to try and connect with over. I ache for the feeling of what I had once before and I want to find that again someday. Someday soon, preferably. I've always been an impatient fucker. C'mon universe, take me out of this everything bagel.
